What an amazing place! The range of products and the quality is really incredible. Add that to the friendliness of the staff and their level of customer service, you'd be hard pressed to find such a gem of a place. Highly recommended. Thank you guys for your excellent products and service. Will be recommending you to everyone!
Crescent Trading is an absolute gem, and an institution in the history of the London textile trade. Many wonderful parts of my wardrobe and garments for others are as a result of my cloth purchases here. They are the last of their kind, not only in Spitalfields, but full stop. As everything goes online only, and we are forced to buy little sample squares, I can only recommend visiting to actually get to rummage through cloth in person, at full length, and buy onsite. Personally, I am a strong believer that cloth should only ever be bought in person, exactly like this. Go, make the visit, say hi, and try and appreciate that you're having a sort of once-in-a-lifetime experience every time you are there. You'll never regret it.
Has some of the best fabrics for suits, coats, silks for lining or whatever you can think of. The prices are great and what you need is cash plenty of it. Martin gets some amazing cloth, made in the UK, tweeds to suiting material. I have made all sorts of things for my wardrobe. I love visiting here and finding something new each time. I have been a customer for many years and never been disappointed, prices are very very reasonable and excellent quality. I highly recommend here if you want to make something or just love cloth. Great quality and range of fabrics and Joe the owner was very kind with his time explaining everything.
Fantastic shop- Phillip and Martin and their assistant are the best! So helpful, so friendly and absolutely no snobbery whatsoever. Best choice and prices for wools, cottons and linings. I always tell people it's worth going just to meet these two lovely gentlemen.
Amazing place, especially for fashion design students, as they have some really good qualilty fabrics especially british wools, incl cashmere, silks...very nice linings for best prices in London! And if you are nice and friendly as they always are!, you will sure get an extra discount. Believe me, these guys are godsend! It is always such a lovely experience to shop there.
Since I first walked through the door in summer 2017, I have bought what must amount to enough fabric to stretch round the block on which they are situated. I've bought over 20 pieces at 3.5 or 4 metres for a suit, and they are always great to me. When this place goes, a piece of London's history will die with it. I sincerely hope that both top out at over 100 years of age each, because sadly wonderful places like this simply do not exist any more. I've bought beautiful 60% kid mohair, flannel, cashmere, merino wool suitings. All stunning. Spitalfields is all about places like this, and I wish there were more.
Their range of wool is just staggering. Such beautiful quality in so many shades patterns and fibres from people who really care about what they're selling. One of the few places in London to sell mohair by the metre. I can't recommend them highly enough. Warning this place is closed Friday afternoon , all day Saturday and Sunday afternoon it's also closes at other odd times too so check their Facebook page before you visit.
A step into history here, this is the last vestige of the old Spitalfields cloth trade. It's stacked from floor to high ceiling with beautiful fabrics, mostly English made suiting but also silks, Liberty cotton lawns, linen and tweed. The staff are great and very helpful, and the pricing is excellent.
This store offers quality fabrics you would struggle to find elsewhere, and the famous team is very welcoming. You will always stumble upon little gems you were not expecting !
