We had our early Xmas dinner here last week. 8 of us ordered various meals. There was a lot of on street parking. I had chicken dansak, my partner has lamb madras, pelau rice, naan and shishkebab. Service was ok, the restaurant was a bit cold but we were sat near the window and the front door. My dansak was delicious and a bit spicy the way I like it. The lamb was tender but lacked flavour I thought. All in all, we had a great night. Will be back.
Food was ok but service very poor, waiter stood at one end of table and just expected us to pass food down, tried to order wine but no-one seemed to know wot we wanted despite showing them on the wine list twice. Young lady came out with two bottles that were both wrong, then waiter brought a bottle out that was also wrong and just put in on table and walked off, zero interaction with staff was food ok etc, no deserts offered!
Nice food, but not great. Service was slow though, told us 3/4 hr, but when we turned up he dismissively told us it would be another 5-10 minutes. Lots of other people had been waiting ages too! Perhaps just a very busy night?
Ok standard stuff and an unexceptional Indian restaurant offering. We enjoyed our meal which met, but did not exceed expectations. Perhaps some thought might be given to ascending to the next level by enhancing the customer experience and rising beyond cafe level to something more polished. Clearing out their stock of cheap albeit functional drinking glasses would be a start. Quality lagers are better presented in an attractive branded stem glass and a glass of wine is more enjoyable when sipped from a decent glass rather than a cheap one sold in quantity at Cosco. Having said that I would not dissuade anyone from visiting as on balance the experience was positive. I will leave it there.
Ordered take out yesterday for a specific time. Went to collect 5 minutes later they're notorious for not having it ready on time, waited a further 20 minutes from then to collect- wasn't a bit order. Once home, noticed the mango chutney was missing from my order, the two nans were flat and dry, and tikka masala had an odd taste to it. Am disappointed as have eaten here a few times before, and it's always been delicious. Sadly, not this time. Don't think it'll be ordering again.
Enjoyed the lamb dhansak, I thought the meat was really nicely cooked. Service is basic but friendly, no problem.Food: 5/5

Had the chicken vindaloo with pilau rice and naan. Absolutely banging! Tasty, not just heat. Great value.
