If you need to go to the hospital at night it is better to forget it, as the direction reduces the number of doctors and nurses and makes you wait approximately 3 to 4 hours to be able to see a doctor's face even when the hospital is empty. This is unfortunately a complete disregard for health in the town of Crawley. As far as possible, some employees try as best they can, but others have already given up on doing their best there. And the victim of all this is the population that needs care and ends up going to other surrounding hospitals.
I went there last night feeling dreadful. The ambulance service told me there were no ambulances for 10 hours and to make my own way to A&E to which I said no as I would’ve sat there for hours. I then remembered Crawley Urgent Treatment. We drove there and I was seen straight away as my oxygen levels were 89%. They put me on a nebuliser, gave me steroids and started me off on antibiotics and gave me a prescription to pick up in the morning. We got home just over an hour after leaving home!! Marvellous staff and treatment. Thank you so much everyone at the Urgent Treatment Centre.
A really good experience at Crawley Hospital a week ago. Became quite unwell and was looked after really well and not sent home until I was OK again. Thank you to Mr Reddy, Audrey and all the staff that day who were so very kind.
I had an mri scan on Monday 23rd Jan 2023…..the young female radiographer and her male assistant were superb. Calm .. explained everything …welcoming…excellent !
Had an operation for Carpel Tunnel Surgery a few months ago no more pain. Staff and Surgeon's were brilliant great care! Also went to Women's Centre yesterday All Staff were helpful and very polite and kind. Thank you
4h waiting, horrible! Is not normal to wait 4 h when are having pain, the Crawley Hospital management should review there strategies over emergency procedures by ordering more staff to stay over or allocate more staff for the emergency department, UK is a first world country but looks like a third world system due to inefficient management of different sectors as healthcare .
Went in for treatment for a bad asthma attack. Worst ever treatment- diabolically slow, not enough staff on duty and those that were nurses were more interested in looking at computer screens than looking after people. Uncaring. Walked out - went home saying I would dial 999 if I didn’t get better. At least I know ambulance staff care.
Came here last year for an ear infection, I couldn't hear very well and the receptionist had to repeat her questions. We had to wait a longer time than usual despite the lack of people in the waiting area. I was then told to enter the children's section, when I'm 17 years old, I told him my ear was painful and infected, he then proceeds to stretch my ear without warning to see inside it, which was painful. I was then told that I was taking too much paracetamol and ibuprofen despite the fact I don't have any signs of an overdose, I was taking 6 paracetamols a day and 4 ibuprofen a day. He then prescribed me an ear drop that didn't exist or was out of stock, had to wait in ASDA for an hour with a infected dripping ear with one tissue, I was then given a different eardrop with different instructions
