Lovely campsite. Have been using over the past 10 years. Quiet and well kept.

Very nice site but the storage could be more secure. More than 6 vans had there doors forced last week.

Just camped here for 4 nights with family members on 2 pitches. The site is immaculate, nice and quiet (even though high season there is a dedicated area for couples and families) and is a handy base from which to explore the Newquay area. Pitches are ample in size for vehicles and tents. The toilet/shower block was very clean and there is a nominal charge for the showers - coin operated and very reasonable. We also used the laundry facilities which are basic but excellent value. The caretaker manager is kind, helpful and courteous and has plenty of tips and information about the area should you need to know. Basics such as milk, chocolate and tent accessories are available in the reception area - again all reasonably priced. In short this campsite is excellent for those wanting a quiet, well run and ideally located base. I would not hesitate to return if returning to Cornwall for a break.

Just returned from 4 nights stay at Crantock Plains and it was perfect. We didn't want the clubhouse, pool and arcades that all the other sites had (and charged 4x more for the privilege) we just needed a base to pitch the tent. We spent all our time at the beach learning to surf. Trip time to Newquay is about 5 minutes. The site was not over crowded (unlike many that we passed on the way in to Newquay) even though it was high season. Toilets/Showers were clean. Recommended and will return. Site was quiet because of the family/couples only policy during high season.
