I got the Italian chicken and it was the best breaded chicken I've ever eaten outside if my Mom's. My husband got a medium steak, but it was super well done and he didn't eat it. The gal made me a customer drink because they didn't have the one on the menu and it was very delicious! I'd go there again.

As a restaurant this is one of my favourites. It has no right being as good as it is as it's a pub! But this pub grub is actually fantastic quality and very importantly extremely cheap. Value for money here is unmatched.

Quiet lunch out and can honestly say the food was very tasty,  hot husband had a steak and it was still sizzling away long after he started eating and portions were great. Staff were very friendly and accommodating. Because it was mid week and lunchtime it was quiet but there was a variety of diners from couples to families. friends and even workmen who were respectfully clean so couldn't fault atmosphere then but not been present at a much busier time.  All in all a great place to go.

Very Tasty lunch, great value . Friendly staff ,  good chat with Ca, Katie and Heather. Best Halloumi fries i've tried. Will definitely be back again soon .

Quiz night on Thursday is great fun. Just won £50. We love the lodge.

Had southern fried chicken  to start with and really enjoyed it. Main meal was the Hunters  chicken with bacon and cheese. Little mix up as I did not want Barbecue sauce on it. Staff immediately replaced it and it was great. Will be back again soon.

Popped in to watch the world cup final with some friends and they gave everyone a steak pie at halftime nice wee touch

Probably the worst place for food in Cumbernauld currently,  however has the potential to be much better, for a start kids need to be off the premises for 8pm hardly family friendly,  however I went with older family and could not order the same food outside as inside? Why? Is it too difficult to take a steak outside? I asked at the bar for a menu for outside at 7.30, by the time we had decided it was after 7.45 and the kitchen was closed!!!! Really, it's hardly late. You would think the woman  behind the bar would have said btw the kitchen closes soon...... no that's too obvious.  However if you want to treat it as a boozer and go and get drink, it's ideal, for food, forget it, head for the Red Deer or the Beefeater.

Lovely staff. Food choice is limited to baked potatoes if you are gluten intolerant and vegetarian. Prices are reasonable.Food: 3/5

Went for dinner Saturday 13th August  as had  several good  previous visits sadly this  visit was a  disaster  ordered  the  chicken sizzler skewers when i tried to eat one  it was difficult to cut and felt  rubbery on  inspection this was  because it was  raw inside i immediately told the experienced staff member who took it away who said she was  surprised because they came ready cooked and prepared  i  pointed out that I wouldn't have another one  and  chose a different meal  which was  fine and  cheaper than the  sizzler there was  no mention of me  getting the difference back  also my wife  ordered the  garlic prawns sizzler which came with the vain sack still inside them  hardly cooked also the  vegetables  were  swimming in grease so she left most of it  uneaten  no  member of staff came to  our table throughout the rest of our visit to apologise or ask if everything was okay so a a very disappointing experience
