My sister and I made a promptu stop and arrived just after it opened. Tudor style building and a little shabby inside. Seating on 2 floors with blow heaters to attempt to keep you warm. However our serving staff was courteous albeit shy and very attentive. The food was delicious and although we hadn't over ordered, we had the pleasure if taking the leftovers home to enjoy the following day. I would imagine the takeaways are popular but well worth visiting this historic building in warmer weather
Food good, but delivery a lottery. Tonight was 1 hour late after chasing by phone. Balti wS missing the Naan bread as well. Please do better if you want to keep us as customersFood: 4/5
We hadn't had a takeaway from here for a while so pleasantly surprised by how good it was. Nice spice and heat to the dishes ordered and very reasonably priced for what you got. Delivery bang on time too. Very impressed and will definitely be back x
Whilst still generally excellent food, I get the impression they're a bit overstretched recently. As a result, there always seems to be quite a wait when collecting and items are quite often missing. Still my go-to, but will probably phone the order in to get a more realistic collection time.
Ordered a take away via uber eats last Thursday. We live in Handcross. The delivery was spot on and the delivery driver very polite. The foodwas amazing. Warm and tasty and lots of it. Will definitely be ordering again and telling my friends to do so too. Thank you

I will never be ordering from here again. I never leave bad reviews but I feel the disgusting service from this restaurant deserves it. I ordered a takeaway from here a few weeks ago, we are regular customers and order a couple of times a month at least. My food was due to be delivered at 1755. I waited until 1855 to give the restaurant a chance, I thought maybe they were having a busy night and I didn't want to hassle them. At 1855 I called them to explain that my order was an hour late and I asked for an update. The man that I spoke to on the phone apologised and said that my order was on its way and left 10 minutes ago. Another hour passed and I still did not have my food. I called up again at 2000 over 2 hours since the food was supposed to arrive, to be told by a lady that the order hadn't even gone through and they hadn't even cooked our food! So after a long day at work, wanting to relax, we have waited over 2 hours for food to be told it hadn't even been cooked. Had the initial man I spoke to, when the food was an hour late been honest, I could be a little more understanding. But to sit there and straight up lie to me down the phone and tell me the food was on it's way is a truly awful way to treat your loyal customers. Any decent company would have apologised profusely and offered to send the food out immediately as well as offering some compensation/partial refund for making us wait over 2 hours. But instead I was offered 2 options - 'we can cook it now and send it out' or 'you can have a refund but it'll take 3-5 days to go back onto your card'. Clearly, as a company, you do not care about your customers, especially the repeat customers. Maybe in future you should be honest about the situation instead of lying to us and treating us like idiots!
This resturant is superb. Food is excellent, always a little unorganised but they are friendly, great hosts and the building is beautiful. Thanks Cowfold Cottage Tandoori
Don’t bother ordering, you’ll never get it. Tried three times now. The first time apparently “the machine ate the order” the second time we chased deliver that was over an hour and a half late. The third order they lied and said it was on its way then shut up shop for the night. Go elsewhere or starve
I order food from Just eat, food is normally delivered on or about the time ordered, it is always good. If you speak to the restaurant they are always polite, and even polite and put right my mistake on ordering with no complaint.
