Professional service but they didnt keep to appointment time and I was seen after 30minute wait. Staff though are excellent.
The doctors I have physically seen have been wonderful. But have been let down on numerous occasions for medication requests etc-- messages not taken down correctly. One request 'lost'. Requested four days before being due for it still not to be ready.... on numerous occasions. Rude receptionists also let the surgery down, understand the pressures they are under but a little courtesy goes a long way!
This surgery is getting worse, they take forever to answer the phone. Then when you do get through you can't get an appointment unless it's over the phone, but you have to go into the surgery for prescriptions. So on the one hand they are trying to reduce face to face and on the other they are demanding it. Sadly this is the best of bad choices in Caerphilly. Edit: now they have lost a prescription. So after failing to diagnose two major illnesses I am moving to another surgery. Avoid this surgery if you can
I would give this more stars but unfortunately one of the receptionists really lets them down and is always rude in-person or when you call. I have, however, always found the doctors and nurses professional, helpful and friendly. I love that I can order my prescriptions online and was fab that you could book doctor appointments but due to Covid this has now been taken away. Would be good to get this back in the future as worked well!
Is this a medical practice in crisis? No appointments even available. Dr’s having a meeting today - SOME appointments may be available later on! Why has it come to this? I am not criticising the staff as a whole but something has gone badly wrong in its management for things to be at this stage. I know of other practices that are coping well so the COVID excuse won’t work anymore! Courthouse seems to be hanging on by a thread.
Most of the time when I ring up to see or speak to a doctor its fine and I fully appreciate that there are many people who also need the doctor but on a few the wait has been more than 20 minutes just to get through and then it's silence luke you've been cut off ..
Absolutely shocking receptionist here. I honestly wouldn't recommend, every single one of them are rude and unprofessional. They act like bodyguards for the Dr's. it desperately needs new staff with more manners and understanding of mental health the list could go on.
They tell you to call at 8am to book an appointment for two days later. Pretty standard procedure. You call at 8am, and even with automatic redial, don't get through to the queuing system until at least 5 minutes later. You'll eventually get through to a receptionist, and even before 8:10am you'll usually be told there aren't any appointments left, even though the lines only connected 2 minutes prior, and you're the 4th person to be spoken to - the lines tell you what position you're in. I've never known it to be so difficult to get an appointment. These guys couldn't run a fridge with it plugged into the power supply, let alone a doctor's surgery. The saving grace is that most of the doctors and nurses are very easy to speak to, although one or two are very rude Dr. Coles especially and don't listen to a word you say, or prescribe you with medication that makes you worse. I've had a couple of occasions where doctors have been baffled by what the one prior to them had prescribed me. I've been with them for my whole life but I think I've reached the end of my tether with how disorganised and badly managed their appointment system is.
Absolutely impossible to get an appointment here. Receptionist will tell you to call 8am, but even when you do you're unlikely to get through in time. Managing to get an appointment is more pot luck in this place than anything. That being said, most of the doctors are very friendly and helpful. The centre's absurd booking system seriously lets them down
Been trying to ring for over an hour with more than 130 phone calls... Completely cannot get through!!! I work most days so getting an appointment on the days that I can only make it, is impossible!! Why do we have to ring between half 8 and 9 that doesn't benefit us at all? Why does it take more than 130 phone calls and a viocemail to get through? Please note I still haven't got an appointment!! We should be able to ring up and book at any day! You ring 48 hrs before and you can never have the day you want! Things need to change, this is ridiculous!
