Our wedding at Cottiers was just, put simply, a DREAM.nnI fell in love with this venue long before I was even engaged! I just knew it was where we would be having our wedding reception; thankfully, my now husband, agreed!nnWe were blown away when we visited the venue initially. Once all of our decor etc had come together on the day thanks to our wonderful suppliers and Team Cottiers we walked into the hall for 'first looks': we were absolutely besotted.nnNot only is this venue visually stunning and provides the most perfect atmosphere for a wedding, the food was TO DIE FOR. 'Best food I've had at a wedding' is what we've heard on repeat for the last seven weeks now!nnLastly, but by no means least - Eve and Erin, our coordinators, were nothing short of phenomenal. They had the patience of saints when it came to my constant stream of questions and emails -for the best part of a year. The girls kept me calm throughout and nothing was too much for them. What a credit they are to this establishment! Both girls are responsible for what we knew would be the most amazingly beautiful day
This place oozes with charm, from the candlelit mystique to the Medieval-inspired paint. It's such a warm place for a pint or cuppa.nnLikewise, it's a spectacular space for special events, whether a wedding or—as I experienced—special showing of The Wizard of Oz for the Glasgow Film Festival.
Gorgeous pub, though definitely one of the most expensive pints I’ve ever ordered in glasgow at £6.80!
We had our wedding at Cottiers a week past Friday and the day couldn’t have gone any smoother. They got everything we asked for down to a T. All our friends and family have been raving about the venue and the food some saying it’s the best meal they have had at a wedding and will definitely be back for a meal. Erin our wedding planner was great. I really couldn’t recommend this venue enough!!
We had our wedding at Cottiers. Incredible venue..nnErin and Eve did a wonderful job planning our special day. Communication throughout the planning process was great and on the day they guided us through everything and took care of all the details.nnCatering was also provided through Cottiers. We had canapes, a three course meal, and a late night snack according to our guests' dietary requirements - all of which were delicious. Many of our guests commented on how good the food was.nnService of the meal was excellent. Staff were present yet out of sight. Drinks were always topped up and service of the food was timely. Set-up and tear down of all decor was done perfectly.nnPart of the reason we chose Cottiers was for the bells. NOTE, you cannot hear the bells from inside the venue you have to be standing outside to hear them. The venue played the bells when our guests were outside for the confetti toss but we hadn't gone outside yet so we missed them. Cottiers then took extra steps to get the bells rang again so that we could hear them, which we appreciated greatly.nnLastly the atmosphere was breath-taking. The main hall is beautiful and provided a stunning backdrop for our ceremony, dinner, and evening ceilidh/dancing.nnThank you Cottiers!nnPhotos by Sean Myles Photography.
