A really lovely park I'm so glad is local to us. Big enough for a nice little walk around but too small to get lost in. Always get a sense of community there, there's often stuff going on and there's always people around, but it's big enough that you can still have your privacy. And it's just gorgeous - trees look lovely in all seasons, and I've never seen any litter though there is some outside the park sometimes. Playground: There's a decent playground as weas basketball courts. Dog-friendliness: Always see plenty of dogs, yet to see any poo or litter in general in the park though there is sometimes a bit outside.
What a great park! Such a variety of different spaces, it has a good kids play area, skate park, basketball court, tennis courts if a little basic, wide open parkland area, wooded areas, plenty of benches and bins too. Beautifully kept and loads of community activities going on here as well. Not sure what's going on with 'The shed' cafe, seems closed down at the moment, but hopefully will reopen soon.
Pros: large space, well maintained, large children’s park, some sort of community club building I didn’t enter, skate park, basketball/tennis courts, benches, picnic benches literally everything a park needs and more + loads of free activities through the week such as strolls, Zumba, yoga and chess! Cons: skate park is small not a real con I really had to think of something
A very pleasant urban park. It is well maintained with footpaths to walk along and some open areas of grassland to walk through. There is a small car park. There is an extensive children's play area. There are some some free tennis courts too. The park is very popular with dog walkers. There is plenty of signage around the park with some reference to a Friends group for the park. See the attached photos for details.
Lovely volunteer led park. Welcoming positive atmosphere. Terrific mini cafe with loos run by the volunteers. One of the hidden delights of Birmingham.
Such a lovely local park which became even more of a haven in lockdown. Great amount of space and different sections to look at while walking. The hut serving tea, coffee and ice cream when up and running, is a great addition and the playground is a good size too.
Didn't know this park existed. Went to cocomad a fundraiser for the park because my wife was singing in a choir. It's a nice green space and suitable for wheelchair users. Playground: My 7 and 3 year old granddaughters loved the playground, especially the slides. Restrooms: Surprisingly clean for park toilets, my 10 month old granddaughter was changed there . It was a lot cleaner than some of the shops. Picnic area: There are picnic areas but it was hard to tell what they were like due to the crowds attending the carnival.
Lovely park it’s nice when quiet and they do a kids festival once a year in the summer which we went to last year and enjoyed. Though don’t bring your car or park further away as possible because the road got crazy no one could move cars.
Cotteridge Park is a place for everyone. All the volunteers at the shed work hard and are so welcoming. There are so many different classes and groups to get involved in. A beating heart of the community
A lovely park with a small coffee shed, orchard, ball game area, mature trees and walks. Local classes and groups meet at the park too.
