Friendly staff and a great coffee with very tasty food. Not over enthusiastic about the layout of seating. The downside was that when I went to the counter the baristas were chatting with a customer and left me standing there before taking my order. On the whole it was a good visit as far as the coffee and food was concerned.
Conveniently located between the train station and the bus station, a nice warm spot to wait for your transport. The cafe itself is quite small with windows on two sides, offering views over the newly developed square on one side and a street on the other side. Probably the best coffee to be had in such a convenient location but I'm not very fond of Costa Coffee in general. The interior seemed a bit grotty, hence the poor rating. This place meets but doesn't exceed expectations.
Decided to get breakfast here with a friend this morning. Unfortunately although the staff were friendly and polite and service was quick, my order lacked the same spark. My peach tea had little flavour which was upsetting as I had looked forward to it, and it was over £2... and my coffee did not taste like coffee, at all. I ordered a flat white, ended up getting what tasted like warmed up milk with froth. Won't be going to this Costa branch for awhile... If not again.
Nice Costa in a beautiful old building friendly smiley staff good coffee
Sunday morning, slight rain and with an hour to wait for a train. Then we saw the Costa sign and our hearts soared. Coffee and a toasty was just the ticket. Lovely clean shop, nice clean young lady with a smile to melt rock why would we not. So glad we found you
One of my favourite Costa's. Friendly and helpful staff. The location is good for me. Near the station and always handy for WiFi access. It isn't the largest Costa but I've always found a quiet corner.
Their coffee is amazing and their hot chocolates look beautiful in comparison to any other hot chocolates I have seen around. Their staff and nice and polite. I am sure to go back there soon!
I wish I could rate this less than 1 star!!! The coffee I had Caramel Mocha was absolutely horrible! It tasted like warm water with a bit of coffee. I couldn’t taste the chocolate nor the caramel. The staff weren’t the friendliest either! I would avoid!
Can't really say a lot about Costa coffee to be fair. I will say that if you want a quick drink before finishing your shopping and before going to fetch the children from school go to Costa Coffee. You can purchase a snack from there to go with you drink. Eg. Caked, biscuits or sandwiches or forgetting crisps. There are toilets a available and usually there are car parks also available. Costs appears to me to be a big concern business wise, so staff appear to try to be professional , but are always smart in appearance, cheerful and chatty when serving you.
Yet again rude staff. No one was as the desk when I arrived they were at the staff room door. I went to use the toilet and changed my son before anyone came to the desk but when I came out the changing room there were stock boxes blocking my way! I ordered a small hot chocolate to drink in.. to start with he kept asking "what's a small?" "Don't you mean primo?!" I just said "please give me my hot chocolate" I was then given my drink in a take out cup although I stated to drink in from a ready made jug of hot chocolate that was cold!
