A very well located outlet in the High Street that is difficult to miss when you’re dying for a cuppa! The shop is well managed by helpful and conscientious staffs and the service is fast. However, it lacks the cleanliness - the entrance carpet could do with a shampoo and vacuum. It looked dirty and dusty. The toilets did not smell neutral and there was litter of toilet tissues all over the floor in both toilets. The table was sticky to touch. The floors clearly looked unclean with footmarks all over. Although a staff was sweeping the floor in the rear lounge but that was not sufficient to mop off the stains though!
I really love this Costa, but today they served me with horrible conditions. The coffee shop looks really messy and dirty, the free tables ar full with cups. I’ve oredered a Superfruity infusion and the hot water pot is disgusting, it is only hot water in it, but it looks like it never been washed.
Good tasting coffee to drink in or takeaway. This Costa is big and airy with good decor. The best place for coffee if you are in Alton.
Great place for a coffee can at times be slow around lunch times being so popular however this does not put me offService: 5/5
Dirty tables. Several staff wandering around but not actually doing anything constructive. Slow service. Chipped coffee cup, though when I pointed it out, the young lady apologised and offered to remake my drink.Food: 4/5
Before I start the staff are great. But over the last few weeks the coffee just doesn't taste as good as it used too! I have a caramel latte & on occasions it seems like the caramel syrup may have been forgotten to be put in, also the flavour of the coffee is no where near as good as it used to be, unfortunately rather than waste £4 on a drink that is mediocre at best I need to spend it somewhere where I can enjoy my coffee. I do hope that Costa can improve the flavouring! I have noticed that both Starbucks & Nero's do a 2 shot coffee as standard where is Costa is only 1 shot, well thats all that I get in my coffee!!!
Coffee was good, service quick and friendly. This place needs a proper and deep cleaning. It's a busy shop but that's not an excuse for dirty chairs and sticky tables.
toilets absolutely stank, made me feel sick for my whole stay. staff nice though

Service is fairly swift with the full range of usual Costa products, though the priority seems to be given to online orders rather than those in-store so the queue can build up a bit. Free Wi-Fi and power sockets throughoutFood: 4/5
