Good coffee ect., but the place needs a good clean. Whilst I was in store tables left uncleared & loads of detritus on the floors & table legs, even though they where not very busy. Not upto the usual Costa standards.
I can’t complain about the staff but tables are left unclean. My daughter had crumbs all up her sleeves. No chocolate in stock so I couldn’t order my daughter a mocha. But something I was really concerned about … the flies…. in January ! Flies swarming around the coffee machine , around my ankles while trying to finish my coffe and on the class screen separating us from the counter. Costa coffee in Birkenhead … you have a problem and it needs sorting !
I think Costa is the best place to get a REAL coffee. And by that, I mean ground and prepared, not instant. I like Costa. Others might disagree, but it is good. Medium Cappuccino, anyone?
Dirty rotten place . Tables & toilets disgusting!!! Cups left on all the tables. Certainly not worth the money. After i sat down, i got all waste off the uncleaned table on my coat!!! much cleaner coffee shop over the road in Nero.
Give 1 star because they staff behind the counter no communication I asked for a coffee to stay in they gave me to go out, quick service is good but not when they don’t listen to the customer plus the floor were I sat I wouldn’t leave it this way if I was a member of staff I came in when it was very quite so surly 1 of them could have quickly brushed the arenas to look decent…. Plus I got a spoon that was not clean…. I get vouchers from my phone provider to come here as well…
See my review; good coffee, not too dear, friendly service. What's not to like? And you can sit outside.. with a starling for company!
Got order wrong. Server seemed really distracted. Long queue built up because only one of 3 was making drinks. For some reason all "baristas" were putting the coffee into the small espresso cups before pouring into the larger cups for those drinking in, and without fail one of the coffee streams was running outside and missing the cups. Received normal croissants rather than the almond ones asked for.
Closed 20mins early had 5 customers outside all wanting take out coffees and hot chocolates. As a big customer of costa and a chef who works in hospitality this is a joke.
Their coffee is getting very strong recently not sure if their using their new blend of coffee that their always asking if you want to try it or if they are doing too many coffee shots.
The coffee here is good but I find this Costa is always quite noisy. The toilet I decided not to use was dirty with a disposable nappy , the floor was very wet, there was no paper and a broken seat.
