It's an all you can eat buffet for £12, don't expect Gordon Ramsey, it is what it is. Plenty of food, usual Asian food stuff, pleasant staff. The only down sides are the decor, plates, cutlery, toilets are all a bit tired. When you're only charging £12 and people are eating ten platefuls, with overheads, it must be hard to make enough profit to keep the place top notch also. Especially with Tunbridge Wells prices! If you want better food, and a better experience, pay more and go elsewhere cheapskate....
I think that people like to hate Cosmo, they have some difficult press with their new restaurant which I have not visited. The one in Tunbridge Wells has always served me very good food, especially the crisp vegetables. I have however found the chicken saté sticks undercooked on the inside on too many occasions and I could see how the poster above might have got ill. This is a shame as they are very tender. All in all I enjoy going for lunch there and know I can choose from indian and chinese food, they decided to have a go at both. If Cosmo could make sure the sate sticks were cooked a bit longer then I think I would be even more glowing. Staff nice but limited English, Sometimes full to the brim at lunchtimes, I have never been in the evening. Keep it up Cosmo, you're doing great!
My 10 year old son and I absolutely love it, if I could give it 6 stars I would. People who knock it haven't got a clue and are food snobs. I eat out all over the place and am absolutely fed up with dressed up poncey pubs with poncey prices that bring out zilcho on a plate that is not even very tasty. Most pubs can't even cook chips properly they are so lazy. Ok it's not gastro but have some humility, it is delicious, plenty of it, lots of choice and at a reasonable price with pudding thrown in. I asked my nephews what they thought the other day and they all gave it 10/10, what more could you ask. Some say there are cock roaches at this place, I'd rather have them on the floor and enjoy my dinner than have them cooking the food and waiting at the till like so many other places. Cosmo's rules.
Hi everybody! Sorry about my English, I am Russian. I love this restaurant. I have been to many places in Tunbridge Wells, but this one is my winner. First of all, they have a variety of food for everyone. If you do not like something, just leave the plate and take another one. That is a big plus to me as in other restaurants sometimes you are buying "a cat in the bag". Secondly, the staff is really friendly and helpful. They are flying between tables and will be helpful to assist you. It is spacious, modern, cool place. The only disadvantage is the music. It is not bad, but it is the same all the time or maybe I am not very lucky and it is just the same when I come? It is £6.50 adult and £3.25 child if you come before 3pm. My advice - never come later than 2pm as some dishes could be gone by then, such as duck, for example. I think they have a measure for kids on a wall. I am not sure but I think they count as a child if less then 1m. You do not pay for babies. After 3pm it is £15 per head. They also have kind of family days. I think it is on Sundays and it is £10. My son likes it. He cannot stop eating there watermelon and lychees. I believe everyone likes this restaurant, not only me! P.S. mostly forgot! They have pricy drinks but you do not have to order them. They have a buzz on each table with 3 buttons: bill, water and something else that I do not remember. Waiters can bring you just a tap water if you like. We always order there a bottle of still water £3.50 and a pot of jasmine tea approx £3.00 They do not have a parking area, but there is a level garage opposite £1.00/h. Pay for 2 hours, 1 is not enough!
Cosmo is a hell hole. The place has tried to been closed down 13 times by food standards agency. I have seen cockroaches running around no joke. I also know, that the tips which are supposed to go to the waitresses all go directly to the boss. If you eat there, consider the waitress has given you good serivce and deicde to tip - think again. In fact just think again before eating there. Dire place. Abysmal standards.
This has quickly become my new favourite place to eat; the food is very good and the staff are so friendly and polite. There is plenty of choice and I haven't yet been disappointed. The tables and cutlery so far have always been clean.
Disgusting !! Took our 7 month old daughter to change her in the parent changing toilet and I had to clean it before could use it , no polite way of saying it but it was covered in poo !! We was there from when it opened so no idea how long been like this for !! When telling the manager he just said thanks for letting us know !! No apology nothing !! The food was dry and tasted like cardboard If u want food poison perfect place
I think the food tastes amazing and the staff have always been there to help whenever I needed them. I've never been ill from their food and I LOVE it there, it's one of my favourite places to eat!
It is the best restaurant in Tunbridge wells ever. It is so delicious and I also go there. It is my favourite place to go and eat
Knowing that we are Chinese, the owner of the restaurant specially served us with a plate of freshly fried vegetable pak choi! Feel warm hearted!
