First time in Confucius and we will definitely return. The food was quite decent, considering that we went for the buffet option. Everything was freshly cooked with the satay skewers being the highlight and fried squid and prawns the only dishes that we will avoid next time. Excellent service, friendly and welcoming staff, who made last minute arrangements in order to accommodate us and this was very much appreciated. Thank you! Parking: As the restaurant is located on a main road there is no immediate parking but there are some options of side streets.
Visited with family on Sunday, the restaurant itself needs some updating... if you were walking past you wouldn't decide to go in and eat however we saw the great reviews online and decided to give it a try. Food was nice, although few items came deep fried or in batter which was not stated on the menu. It is all you can eat however they like you to order all of the starters and second course at once and then all mains at once, which means you can't try some things and order more if you enjoy it... The manager is quite rude, her tone is sharp and aggressive and made you feel awkward to ask anything I.e. for more napkins. If it wasn't for such a rude manager we are assuming she was the manager, she took the orders then I would have given a review of 4 stars.
We tried Sunday all-you-can-eat lunch. It’s better to book in advance to avoid disappointing. Reasonable price, tasty food. Great location. City council car park is near by.
Food is unreal. Great service. Very friendly. Nothing is too much. Just don't over order. You will not eat it all!!
Visit this restaurant at least once a year. The staff are so friendly and the food is amazing. Make sure you book well in advance for the weekends as they can become fully booked very quickly. For the best experience, I recommend booking as a larger group. Fantastic for special occasions.Food: 5/5
Food is good, however, I think service has changed slightly negatively recently. I don't like the aspect not just Confucious that in Asian cuisine you have to be out by a certain time roughly 1.5 hrs having a big host of people spending upwards of £250 in one sitting. I don't like the aspect that you will be refused to re-order close to your proposed leaving time when your are the paying customers for an All-you-can-eat.
Visited for a work meal with 5 colleagues. Fantastic choice of food. Great staff, polite and friendly. Will 100% be returning and would highly recommend to anyone looking for a Chinese restaurant.
DO NOT EAT HERE! IF YOU HAVE YOU HAVE YOUNG CHILDREN. We went to this restaurant today for my dads birthday, firstly staff were not friendly on entry. Once sat down and ready to order the buffet option the waiter explained that I would have to pay £6 for my 1 year old - who is DEFINITELY not going to eat even 2 spoons of rice. She said if she eats I have to pay, if she doesn’t eat I don’t have to pay. I had expressed my feelings that she is literally going to have a couple bits from my plate - she ignored me and walked away. I then got up to tell her that we were ready to order and she said she is not going to take our order until the whole table 6 of us pay! Before we have even eaten when this wasn’t the general consensus of the restaurant. No way was we giving our money to them so we got up and walked out. Kid-friendliness: Are not fair on prices for babies.

DO NOT EAT HERE Just had lunch here with my girlfriend the food was disgusting was just bone and gristle on ever course we ate not that we had a lot the staff was very rude especially 1 member of staff and had the cheek to still charge us 50 pound please do not eat here it’s absolutely horrible me and my partner spent the rest of the afternoon on the toilet
