Stayed at the hotel next door and decided to go here for something to eat unfortunately. It was my daughters 18th birthday, we were all really looking forward to something to eat at the carvery, the mash was like wall paper paste, hidley any meat available and what we did get was very minimal, the greens were well over cooked and tasteless! My partners steak from the menu was undercooked as a medium cooked steak was ordered. No puddings were ordered as after our experience there we were just glad to leave! I should have never eaten there but it was the closest place for 4 hungry bellies,
With the place being right next to the hotel of my stay, I had to give the Sunday roast a try. Coppice Wood Farm did not disappoint. I enjoyed it a lot. The portion was gigantic and price value was excellent.
Service was terrible especially at the bar trying to get a drink and no fault of the lady working her socks of to keep the wheels turning! Food and delivery of my burger was appalling I did not get my ordered burger but a version of it that was not worth the £9-49 also my beer came in the wrong glass which ideates a lack of washing glasses as it was clearly not busy! I only eat here because of my hotel as it was my first visit, would defiantly not eat her again or attend with family or friends Green King you clearly have issues with this pub ! Would avoid this place and go next door to Mc Donald’s people
Went here for a vegetarian full English breakfast. I ordered from the menu which only had a non vegetarian option and I asked them to swap out the meat for veggie sausages and hold the bacon which they kindly accommodated.nHowever I’m pretty sure there was a small piece of meat on my plate. I had to leave it to a side and ate around it.nThe food itself is your standard cafe breakfast. Generous portions and good prices.nAtmosphere wasn’t really great. I can’t say if it’s always like that as it was a wet and windy Saturday morning and could have just been a quiet time.
Service was good friendly helpful staff who helped with the issues, food was possibly the worst I have encountered and I been to plenty of Greene king pubs you know what you are in for but I got cold garlic mushrooms, undercooked just warm pink burger on a bun not as advertised with undercooked bacon and 9 chips which were piping hot. Timings were definitely off in the kitchen.
