Taking grim to a new level.  I used to be a regular here when doing shopping at Asda. The fish and chips were really good and they even did battered chips - not common in this area. Popped in for a mini fish and cone of chips to sit in. At £4.50 that’s quite expensive and I’d expect quality but sadly standards have plummeted. Really plummeted. The food in the range looked atrocious and covered in oil. My mini fish I didn’t want a large one though they offered to cook one was stuck to the rack and had to be peeled off. The scallops were a dark brown and looked like yesterday’s refried again. And the chips were inedible. Definitely not fresh and almost devoid of potato inside, they had clearly been recooked. Possibly twice. It was awful. The fish was drier than Death Valley. Didn’t touch the batter and had some of the flesh. But i couldn’t persevere. I had to leave it and walk out. And I wasn’t alone, the table across also had a plate that was basically uneaten. I’ve posted a pic of my meal. You can see how bad it is. Disgusting quality not even deserving of a star. Where has it gone wrong? I know there’s been a pandemic but if there’s a delivery service then there should be a continuity of quality. This is really grim stuff. Some of the chips were so reheated they were flat. No potato inside at all. I’m really sad that it’s fallen this far. Me and my ex had loads of good meals here. Always freshly cooked and the scallops tasted of those back home in Scotland. So sad to write this but if they don’t improve customers will desert them for good.

I ordered Doner kebab and Chicken kebab, the quality of meat was pathetic. The meat wasn't fresh, the sauce used tasted low quality The spicy sauce was sour, asked for garlic Mayo which didn't taste good either. The coloring on chicken meat doesn't work well. They need to work on customer service too

Chips were rock hard like a dodgy chippy when back at school left over chips from day before re cooked all the kids gave it a miss dinner time and used the silver hake in the 80s acocks green could of broken a tooth tasting one chip straight in the bin plus asbo looking delivery delivery driver said my buzzer wasn't working three more deliverys that day buzzed them in no problem lazy cu#t.

Does not open  on  tme, 20,30 min wait for  breakfast, online orders come 1st, teas are not hot,  happening too  of ten now going elsewhere now, , regular user but never again

One star is just being generous! Atrociaous chip shop. One staff member, cold food and even the lady didnt look like she was bothered. There was 2 other people complaining over chip shop curry being stone cold and the chef tried too microwave the fish chips and curry sauce in a microwave. Absolutely disgusting. The nuggets were greasy and swimming in grease, the chips were all hard and the burgers looked like they had been marinated in oil for 6 weeks. DONT COME TOO THIS PLACE IF YOU LIKR WARM AND NICE FOOD. RUDE STAFF, HORRIBLE MEALS AND THE WHOLE PLACE IS A SHAMBLE.

Went last week and ordered some masala fish, for the other half and a piece of cod for myself. The masala fish was drier than the Sahara desert, and my cod was meant to be of a normal size, paying £5:50, but I wouldn’t even class it as a mini, more like a micro fish. I should of realised on entering the premises, that the people in the seats, looked  like the extras from the walking dead  . I normally don’t wish bad on any company, but I’m afraid I hope you go under. Shocking customer service

Disgusting attitude from staff, throwing cold food people complained about in the microwave too shut them up. The fast food restaurant is dirty greasy and if any of you read this do not go in there if you dont want food poisoning. Cold food and the food is bathing in grease. Whatever batter they use a shoe would taste better. You all must be high, drunk or have half a brain too even attend here. Disgusting

This is quite a nice chip shop. On average 9 out of 10 times the food is beautiful. Although unfortunately sometimes the chips can be a bit hit and miss. The staff are lovely and friendly. Makes a lovely cup of tea. Good size portions. Masks are to be worn. Some things are a little pricey. But on the whole very nice food.

I can only agree with the appalling reviews below , My mother went in today , chips warm , staff did not offer to make fresh chips instead wanted to heat up in microwave , food standards need to investigate this poor chip bar , I would avoid these at all costs , certainly not food and hygiene standards !!!!!

Can't comment on the chip shop side of things because I've never tried it but I've just ordered a breakfast and it was absolutely VILE  Full of grease, sausage and eggs were disgusting, cold beans, bacon and mushrooms were slimy...  It all went straight in the bin, NEVER AGAIN!
