Very rude staff member called Taylor swore at my girlfriend when we only asked her a question wouldn't recommend going to wotton under edge Co op at night time other than the rude and vile staff member the rest of the team are lovely as well as the manager
Great local shop, well stocked, post office within. Car park available at the rear as it's on the main high street.
Stock very short dated a lot of the time. Most times I have been there out of date stock still on shelf. Staff just make excuses why. Poor stocking as a lot of the time shelf’s empty. Stock sat in Warehouse. Staff generally poor to respond to Stocking shelves. Staff polite though. As it’s one of the main stores it in need of better management that has a good Customer focus. Most the time excuses no staff hope poor is that. But ask about a job fully staffed! Not what Wotton-under-Edge coop used to be! Not expressed.
Larger than average Coop store which is well layed out. An extensive product range well merchandised. The product pricing tends to be a little higher than the main supermarkets but it is located in the high street. Parking directly outside the store is limited but they do have their own free parking at the rear.
Me and my flatmate go into the co-op nearly every week and usually buy energy drinks/alcohol/tobacco, and every now and then we will get asked for our ID but more often than not, the staff remember how old we are. However every single time we get served by a certain staff member, we will always get asked for our ID even though she may have only served us tobacco or alcohol the day before. As a bartender I can understand staff members do need to do their job and ID customers when they buy restricted products, but there comes a time where it begins to seem like we are being ID’d just because it’s inconvenient. I only say this because there are other staff members that will remember our age and wont ID us. This may seem like a petty complaint but as two people who very rarely get much time to go shopping, it is extremely inconvenient to have to go home and then back up to the shops just to prove we are over 16/18 when we are very clearly over 20 as we both have tattoos and usually go shopping during school hours.
Cheerful and helpful staff, multi-pack special offers, and low Co-op prices on basics. Longest opening hours of any supermarket in the area 7 am to 10 pm. Good range of fresh produce, but some of the loose fruit can be past its best. Now incorporates Wotton's main Post Office.
Good to have a small supermarket nearby that isn't a "local shop for local people"! This of course means it has much better prices. That being said if you want cashback from the till they still have to write it down on a sheet of paper so you can sign for it separately which means you have to wait extra time!!
Great range of products and reasonable prices. Especially like some of their ready meals for use occasionally. Fast self service checkouts to avoid the queues.
Good Co-Op but it shuts earlier on Sunday, which is hopeless as the only alternative is a frustratingly limited Tesco metro. Quite a reasonable range of food items for families, and there is a good range of beers and wine.
