The water gardens are absolutely beautiful with amazing flowers! The paths are well maintained and accessible on wheels to. The toilet by the entrance could've done with a bit more attention to cleaning but still perfectly usable.nLots of aquatics to suit your needs in the shop and you can see the fish and tortoises in the little aquarium.nThe also have otters here who are very cute and interesting along with a variety of ducks and chickens to feed. with duck feed purchased from the gift shop, not bread.nEntry is free but there is a gift shop.nThere's also The Dutch Pancake house where the staff were very accommodating and friendly however we waited over half an hour for our food which although tasty was far from substantial. Does for a nice lite bite but certainly go for a large if you want something more filling.nThere's plenty of parking.nOverall a nice place to visit, nice for kids too and a lovely, interesting little walk on a nice day. :
A lovely little Nature Trail past a couple of duck ponds.nThe otters and capybaras weren't there today, but the serene gardens are nice to walk around. Finish off with a visit to the Dutch Pancake House for fabulous pancakes and a drink.
I absolutely must recommend this place!nSo it's a little nature park and aquarium supply shop, free to visit and park. Lovely little setting with loads of ponds, ducks, tortoises and otters! Note no capybara at the moment Bear with me I'm getting to the food....nThe best bit total suprise, also a dutch pancake restaurant. Almost all can be made gluten free for me which is very important to me as a Coeliac. Staff very knowledgeable, very good with cross contamination, felt very safe and amazing food and beautiful environment. Highly recommended!!
FREE nature walk.nNice walk round the ponds. A few ducks. It could do with some fresh energy. Lovely walking just missing a bit of life. Empty ponds full of water but could only see dead leaves .nCafe was nice. Clean ,friendly staff. Prices ok.nShame about the aquatic shop area. Very run down. But that could be near the end of season. Will go again next time we are that way.nDid have a really nice latte.
Came here with my boyfriend in June and had such a lovely time! It definitely needs some work and has its flaws enclosure size, but matthew who works at the aquarium is doing an amazing job in maintaining and taking care of the site. Fingers crossed it'll find new owners willing to take this park on as it has such good potential! For a free day out, you can't really fault it
