Barman was rushing us to order and pay when there was no need there was no one else ordering. I found him quite rude telling us to hurry up we were not taking long. Music and atmosphere was lovely though!
This is a truly exceptional pub, with a welcoming and attentive staff that makes it comfortable to settle in for a few pints. The Guinness is particularly noteworthy, served to perfection. Additionally, the restaurant upstairs offers a delectable menu that perfectly complements the drinks downstairs.
I was whisked here on a cold January Monday night with a whisper in my ear that this is THE best place to eat Indian food in Dublin.When we arrived, we were greeted warmly and went upstairs to the dimly lit upstairs restaurant area. My host was surprised it was half-empty. "It's always full but I never ate here on a Monday before". Worth remembering if you can't get in easily. The owner trained at one of those big 5* hotels before setting up on his own and the attention to detail in the menu and the service levels shows through. There is also a great wine list. My favourite? The prawn starters - crispy, succulent and not over-oily - followed by the lamb dhansak. Enjoy!
We had a terrible experience here with the owner, who is incredibly rude. He seems determined to scare families off with his awful customer service. It’s a shame as the premises is lovely. We won’t be back.

Great pub in blackrock that is open late Friday and Saturdays. The staff are all lovely and the pub is very cosy with some good drinks choices as well as a few deals on the cocktails.
Deals on cocktails advertised on the drinks menus and around the pub. Visited early on a Saturday evening when the pub was fairly quiet. Ordered 2 cocktails and was rudely told off by the bar man for even asking for them! Told me they were far too busy and how could I expecting them to have time to make cocktails! In the mean time there were 3 bar man standing behind the bar with nothing to do! Bizarre. Nice way to turn away customers. Won't be back!
Also good for a good pint of Guinness and chat with the staff.
Top quality pub. Friendly staff, and always a pleasure to visit. The log fire is wonderful in colder weather.
