Story

CONSTANCIA is an INDEPENDENT, FAMILY-run Argentine GRILL, located in the heart of Bermondsey, London's former TANNERY and leather district. Established in 2009, the restaurant quickly gained its reputation for the excellent QUALITY of its food, the friendly and ATTENTIVE service, and the laid-back ATMOSPHERE.

Absolutely incredible food!!! These steaks are to die for. Top quality, very tender and super flavourful-some. One of the best steaks I’ve had in many years of travel around different countries. Forget super fancy restaurants, these guys have the best meat and know how to cook it. Apart from the steaks, burger was incredible too. That’s how all burgers should be made. Very tender and juicy inside. 99% of restaurants don’t know how to cook a burger, they make it thick and dry no matter what. Not the chef at Constancia. This guy should have a Michelin star for his burgers and steaks. It was just melting, full of flavour, not too big and not too small, just perfect in every way! I would highly recommend this place!
Great place to go for meat lovers! The ribeye was nicely cooked maybe a touch more seasoning would have been better. Melted cheese was really nice when it was warm but you have to get to it fast before it turns solid. Empanadas were all delicious! Personally I didn’t enjoy the chips and the spinach sauce made them soggy. But all in all would really recommend it!
Just eaten at this great restaurant. Felt very welcomed even though we hadn't booked. Had great recommendations from.our waiter for both food and wine. Both were exceptional. Thoroughly recommend.
This place definitely took me back to Buenos Aires. I don’t even know how to start this review... - Provoleta very tasty, you never can go wrong with one of those highly recommended - Bife de Chorizo, perfectly cooked, tender, juicy, tasty I missed trying the empanadas, but that will be another excuse for me to come back. Service was very good, friendly staff The only “not so good” I went by myself and I was told there was no table available inside fue to bookings, which surprised me because it was 5 pm ish and I was assigned a table outside, but the whole time I was there I think only a couple came the rest of the tables were still empty when I left. So if you want to come, book a table!
Food was delicious, cannot fault it at all. Steaks were cooked perfectly, best steaks we’ve had for a very long time. Be wary of the extra “taxes”, though. 12.5% service charge that was higher than expected and a sneaky extra 5% “VAT” tax that must presumably be a card machine charge. Check your receipt.
Such a nice chilled place to enjoy a really great tasting steak without the stuffiness of other restaurants. Loved the vibe, loved the food.
We walked past this place a few times and decided to go in yesterday. If you love steak and Argentinian wines than this is the place to go! Had the Provolone cheese as a starter and it was delicious. Great food and very friendly, good service. Highly recommend a visit.
Way too simple for expensive restaurant. Once again I've got reminded that price and fancy look of the restaurant is not representation of the quality and excellence of food. By burger was not warm enough and meat wasn't medium as requested, but rather more raw.
One of the best Argentinians restaurants I have been. There have a great selection of dishes for meat eaters and vegetarians. I would recommend to start with empanadas and carry on to the parrilladas. Vegetarian options: Sweet corn and spinach and cheese deep fried empanadas. Veggie burger. Aubergine dish. Parsley and garlic chips. Grill baked cheese provoleta Salads
It was meh... Quite busy place even though we came quite late at night nearly 10pm. The service was ok, but it could be better though. I didn't feel welcomed at all. The food came for quite long time. As long as around 30 minutes after we ordered. Well, I always try to think positively when the food took ages to come it means it was freshly made in the kitchen. Overall, it is an OK place that we might not come back as there's nothing special to come back for.
