It is not the best place to visit, as the lakes are used for fishing and the grounds are pretty messed up due to ruts in the grounds surrounding the lakes. Also some of these people drive fast so not really safe either for children to play.. The biggest issue we had was due to the fact it looks like some of the land has been sold and they are building a housing estate over on one side of the lake. This ruins the views and stops you from walking completely around the lake itself. Also dogs must be kept on a lead at all times, so not really dog friendly either. With these issues I would recommend checking out other parks around Kent, that do cater for families without the worry of pets or children being run over by people fishing around the lake. To sum it up if you want a park to walk around with no facilities in the park itself, this place is for you. Remember you are in Kent and there are many more places and parks to go that make this place look pretty useless. In fact on our way back from walking through the fields over the road you have a smaller park with a nice play area for children, if you knew that was there we would have given this place a miss. Best go somewhere more interesting...
