All you have to do is book online via congleton town council and you get a 3 hour slot. It's about 60' in diameter and at its deepest it's just under knee deep to an adult, it's clean and safe for the kids. Best part, it's free. There are no refreshments on site, you can bring your own though. The only amenities on site are a toilet and some bins and 7 benches, there is space to lay out a towel and lounge in the sun though.
Pool looks amazing and heard how fab it is , after several attempts to put our names on the waiting list, I last got emails at 10pm to say slots had became available I had my phone in my hand so acted immediately and when I got through still had no joy of being able to get tickets for 2 excited girls. Poor system , so many genuine people losing out due to others booking and not showing up . Whatever happened to allowing people to just turn up and have a fun day without the hassle of having make bookings for something that’s free
Online bookings only that are often full for 140 people well in advance but still lots of no shows. I went when there where less than a 100 show and they still couldn't let us in. Seems a waste of resources when the council haven't imposed rules to prevent this happening.
The pool itself is 5 stars without doubt. Unfortunately the booking system is horrendous. I managed to get tickets for me and my son after about a month of trying and there were maybe 50 people there the whole time 140 tickets were sold meaning almost 100 people didnt turn up. People book multiple slots on all days in advance and don't bother turning up, meaning many other parents cannot take their children and enjoy a pool that we pay extra in our council tax for. I have many fond memories of the pool from when I was a child in the 90s, and again when my oldest was little about 10 years ago but I cannot say the same about it now. The booking system has ruined this pastime for many parents
Very good maintenance, clean water, nice place for kids.
Very disappointed that even though no one was in the pool because it was a cloudy day we wer not allowed in as we hadn't booked. I appreciate the booking system to limit numbers but when no one books or turns up it seems ridiculous that you can't go in even when it's empty but open
A little oasis in a busy town, clean grassy verges to set up your picnic! ..a lovely location... next door to the park and a good restaurant. Small car park available at the park...tho plenty of spaces at the main town car park 5 minutes away!
Amazing visit as always. Easy booking system, friendly staff and not over crowded - perfect morning out
Should of been 5*. Sorry my phone froze, this paddling pool is a fab day out. I have 4 kids aged 2, 3, 4 and 5 and is safe for them to have a good time and meet new friends. It's all enclosed, has shaded areas and clean toilets on site. Plenty of room for the kids to run themselves ragged and tire themselves out. Also the park round the corner is fab!
A great place for kids to play in an outdoor paddling pool. Lovely staff ensuring safety and cleanliness.
