What a cool bar!!! The interior decoration is gorgeous - so many interesting things to look at and amazing for anyone into the Victorian aesthetic. Super comfortable seating as well. And great drinks in my opinion! I got the Butterbeer Halloween cocktail which I thought was delicious. Caution if you don't like sweet drinks- my partner doesn't and we found that there literally wasn't a single thing on the menu that didn't have sugar syrup but if dessert cocktails are your thing they are mine! And if you don't like strong spirity-flavored drinks I don't!, then you'll love this place
Quirky place, lots to see on the walls, and hanging from the ceiling. Live music in the background and good deals on the cocktails Friendly staff and table service, for when your legs don't work properly after supping the cocktails!! Had a great time there, and will be back tomorrow, to sample some other cocktails no doubt about it. This might just be my new favourite place to visit.
Popped in for a couple of drinks on our way elsewhere for food. Our first time here after a few recommendations from friends. What a great quirky bar. We had a few cocktails at 2 for £12 and couldn't fault the place. Live music and great atmosphere. Definitely will be back.Service: 5/5
Interesting place with quirky decor and strange lounge music cover songs playing. The atmosphere was pleasant during my visit and the bar wasn't too busy which was nice Sunday afternoon. Drinks were good although we has cocktails which meant they were on the pricier side. Staff were friendly without going above basic service.
Good vibe and nice drinks. Didn’t get live music bc it was a Friday night but the DJ was fun.Atmosphere: 5/5
Quirky place to have a drink, full of things the "colonel" has collected. Through the door and down the ramp allowing you to see the full paraphernalia below you. The main room is kind of circular which is quite nice as you can sit looking out. There are a couple of other rooms equally as quirky. They have a nice cocktail menu, maybe not as many signature types as a dedicated cocktail bar but still lots to choose from
Brilliant open mic night here on Tuesdays. Lush staff and brilliant service. The pictures speak for themselves - the vibe here is excellent, quirky and interesting. Great playlist too. Think mid week evenings here will become a regular for me - felt so relaxed here. Recommend!
My favourite pub in Newcastle at this present time. Wonderful atmosphere and ambiance. Set within a stunning building on The Side/Dean Street with a fantastic beer garden at its heart. Live music, delightful environment and great drinks menu. Yet to try the food.
Nice bar, very quirky with a good selection of drinks on tap. Cocktails are good in here as well but a little bit on the pricey side. Plenty of seats to choose from and the decor is different all around with plenty to look at or talk about. They have a private function room which isn't huge but again quirky and this is open to everyone when not in use.
Always a great visit. Nice atmosphere. Good cocktails and drinks. We were lucky enough to arrive just as the singer started her set on Saturday. Definitely worth a visit.Service: 5/5
