Followed the trail and it lead us to a field, in fear of upsetting the sheep's in it, we turned around! Would be better on a dry day but was still nice none the less. FYI lots of hills so wear walking shoes and ensure you're fairly fit! Nice to take the dog there too! Tiny car park so if you went peak time you may not get parkingVisited onWeekendWait timeNo waitReservation recommendedNo
A nice walk, ideal for dog owners. Ended up in a field of sheep on top of the hill following the yellow arrows. Signposting for the red route is not the best. Watch out for dog mess.Visited onWeekendWait timeNo waitReservation recommendedNo
Walked for an hour on the red route. Took left hand turn and path level after 30 yard incline. Beautiful today. Dog loved it too
Really nice place to walk around. It's great their planting trees!
My favorite place to walk my dogs. A good variety of walks for all abilities and a lovely stream for dogs to drink from and children to paddle in.
Beautiful walk, lots of scenic views :
Stunning little walk with the dog
A wonderful little National Trust walk. Budget an hour for the full red and blue walks at a gentle pace, though it can be much shorter if you have a quicker pace. The setting is lovely, and is obviously well managed by the National Trust. There are several walks in the area starting from the carpark that are not sign posted by the National Trust, so its worth more than a single trip.
Beautiful walks of varying lengths. Some fairly steep parts. Dogs loved it. Perfectly safe. Small car park, no height barrier or charge. Would happily return one day.
This place is beautiful and well supported by the Woodland Trust...varied walks, harder hill climbs for those fit enough ; and also some shorter, flatter walks. The bluebells are also just starting to flower so this location will be stunning over the coming weeks. If I lived locally, this would be my first choice for my daily walk.
