Seeds for the Soul is definitely one of the best in Edinburgh specialised in vegan dishes. We had a bowl and a wrap which were thoughtful in the combinations of ingredients, great in taste and generous in portions. Also love the smoothies “good morning coffee lover” with espresso, cacao, banana and almond milk, a killer mix! And remember to leave some room for the cakes here which would be sad to miss.
Very cozy restaurant with excellent Beyond Meat Burgers. Everything there is vegan and absolutely delicious. I also ordered a Hot Chocolate that was absolutely impressive. Very friendly and attentive waitress as well :
LOVED this place. All vegan, all delicious and satiating. Book ahead to ensure you get a table. The staff were very relaxed and friendly, lovely buzz in the place. Must try the cocktails!!
I had the vegan Mac and cheese and can I just say this was one of the best Mac and cheeses I’ve ever had? I’m not even vegan! It’s sooooo tasty and their coffees are so good!! I had vegan Mac and cheese from another place in Edinburgh and this one really tops that other one. Will be back when I’m craving Mac and cheese again. My friend also said her burger was really good and that the vegan patty was really tasty but I didn’t taste it.
Great place to go! Everything is vegan and our dishes were delicious. Service is great and the decor is really nice too. Going to choose a couple of the 6 vegan cakes to take away with us…
Excellent vegan dishes, I would definitely recommend the Satay and Asian bowls. The Satay peanut sauce was excellent. Good coffee. A little pricey, but this is probably due to the location, sit by the window and you may enjoy watching the trendy Bruntsfield crowd, if you care about these things…
Really tasty, and very filling, vegan burgers, with big cut fries. A great and delicious meal even for the non-vegans. And don't miss the mac and cheese burger. And gluten free buns available. Vegetarian options: Everything is vegan and gluten friendly
Honestly felt a bit let down, the reviews all seemed really good so we decided to pay a visit and I've been to quite a few vegan restaurants, including ones in other countries so know how good fresh vegan food should taste. My husband had the eggs Benedict dish and said it just tasted artificial and texture was very rubbery. I just had the buffalo cauliflower as hot dogs wasn't available which tasted semi-raw and were just clearly doused in siracha or some other hot sauce, so they were just spicy and no other flavours were coming through. The lemon drink was cool though.
Amazing vegan cafe find whilst I was up in Edinburgh for a day visit collecting a brilliant car I purchased. The menu for me was incredible coming from London and even my non vegan friends really loved the burger and drinks options that we tried. We did however feel a little ignored possibly because we didn’t have a reservation as we had to wait 15 minutes before approaching someone to order as no one came to our table and one of the waitress even made faces and questioned a request for sauce whilst making a sarcastic remark. I found that a little intrusive and rude otherwise the experience was pleasant.
A fully vegan restaurant, with plenty of options. I do recommend to book a table in advance since the restaurant can be full. I chose their Nourish bowl along with Kalimari rings as a starter and a hot chocolate with biscoff. The nourish bowl was great, the vegan chicken was well seasons, the avocado and the rest of the veggies were fresh, the sesame rice noddles were a bit blend even after adding the ginger, garlic and tamaric dressing that came with it, they didn't really sock the taste. The klamari starter made of forest mushroom coated in tapioca was light, chewy and had lemony taste, I also liked the mayo sauce that came with it. the chocolate creation with biscuff was addicting and delicious. the service was nice and fast and the restaurant was cozy to sit in with seats indoor and out.
