Frantic experience, moody staff behind the counter, other staff screaming out pasta orders with customers ignoring them, and ridiculous prices for what you get. Charging 50p for 5 olives to be added to your pasta. Quite simply, avoid!
Overall: 4/5 Good quick lunch meal option. If you are a lover of truffles you must try the truffle oil condiment - it has a strong taste and smell that will brighten up your meal.Recommended dishes
Extremely rude staff. It was not busy when I went in at 2pm and I was stood at the counter waiting to order. The employee behind the counter was cleaning as I stood there. She subsequently looked at me, didn’t say a word and continued to clean as if I did not exist. I raised my hand to get her attention and then she said in an annoyed tone “it’s not an emergency, relax”. I actually had a meeting to go back to as I work in one of the offices nearby and many people who go to coco di mama in this area just want to grab something quick and return to work, something I suspect she knows fully well but doesn’t particularly care about. After this bizarre and shocking treatment, I had no option but to walk out. I will not set foot in that place again so long as that rude, moody emoloyee works there.
Would not recommend! I ordered the beef ragu pasta which was £6.25 for a small pot. When I opened the pot it was half full. Pasta wasn’t hot, only slightly warm. Not particularly tasty and definitely not proper Italian pasta. My friend also ordered pasta but a different dish and she had the exact same problem. Very disappointing!
Pasta is quite bad - I don't think that they have a right to call themselves an Italian place. Try to avoid
Our cards doesn’t worked Visa and we‘ve got the food for free and it was so tasty. No money pay just card, I wanted to give the money but she doesn’t want it
I ordered a Vegan Supergreen Pesto pasta box. Half of the box was empty, the bottom of the dish wasn’t even covered in the sauce, it was just plain pasta. My meal was cold even though I started to eat it right after ai left the shop. Not a good value for a £6.25 dish.
I usually get a cappuccino with oat milk and it's the best I've ever had anywhere. Never disappoints! I also love their pasta.
Great for a unique lunch but recommend getting large as small is too light
Beef ragu nice and piping hot. Good for a quick office lunch!!
