Popped in today for the first time and it certainly won't be the last! Amazing salt beef and smoked salmon beigels. Tasty cold deli bits too. Can't wait to go back!
Such amazing friendly service quality food would recommend everytime
I have been a customer of Cockfosters Deli for well over 30 years. In fact my son went to school with the previous owners daughter and I was quite friendly with the previous owner, went out with the kids few times. Unfortunately about 6 weeks ago I had a batch of salt beef which I found to be chewy, I called the shop as I was unable to get back there for a week or two, I believe I spoke to the owners son and he appeared to doubt that there was a problem with the beef. I would not make this up, been using this shop as I said for over 30 years. Unfortunately this weekend I had the same problem, chewy!! I called them first thing Monday morning and again the owners son appeared to doubt what I was saying. However, he told me to bring it back which I did. There was the owners son, plus the older guy who usually serves me, and a female. The three of them tasted the beef and said there was nothing wrong with it, well there was, to me it was chewy and tough. The female was e extremely rude and was kind of taking the pi** out of me, in my opinion!! She was smirking!!!! The older guy was ok, he was being nice. So they all stood there tasting the beef, the trio. How humiliating. And why would they want to do that, eat meat that has been in somebody else's home and obviously touched by them. As I said the female was rude and taking the pi**. What a shame because the older guy and George are lovely people. What a way to treat a long standing customer, it leaves me with a bad taste in my mouth, nearly as bad as the beef - pun. Yes I got a refund but that will never compensate for the way the female spoke to me. I think she said she was the son's wife but I do not really care. So sorry George, you are a good guy. Re Pete’s response asking me not to return to his shop, REALLY. - I WOULD NOT HAVE RETURNED. ARE YOU FOR REAL!!

During the last two years since the pandemic began, Cockfosters Deli has helped the community during some very tough times by taking orders and Payments by phone, then they’d kindly put your shopping in your car without you even having to get out. Unlike another Greek shop who refused to help their customers knowing very well how difficult the covid pandemic was. Trying to avoid catching covid or passing it to vulnerable family members whilst others failed us Cockfosters deli were there for us throughout and that is the reason I’ve become a loyal customer. In times of need the shops which went out of their way to help the community deserve the recognition and support. The new refurbished shop is perfectly laid out tidy and clean with quality fresh and other products. I can’t fault you guys so I’d like to say thank you a million times for helping us feed our families when times were tough. I recommend you to a lot of family and friends. Well done and keep up the great job you are doing xx
I can’t believe I have just visited this delicatessen today and none of the staff are bothering to wear face masks. Over 100,000 cases in the U.K. and London is amongst the worst. If not for themselves , they should for their customers. It’s a crowded little shop at the best of times. A single shop unit with at least 5 or 6 staff. I think it’s disgusting and I’ve been shopping there over 30 years and I will certainly not return. Sheer arrogance, ignorance and disregard for their customers.
Fantastic local deli specialising in Greek food
Been shopping regularly since last 6 months.The atmosphere inside is friendly, inviting and obliging and the service is with a smile. Excellent nice deli with the freshest fruits, vegetables, bread. Salt beef hot or cold, snacks of highest quality. Now I am a regular visitor. Recommend highly. If you are choosy and seek quality you will not be disappointed.
Great food, just the best Bagels
Errrrr hello Cockfosters Deli, where have you been all my life......stumbled across this place yesterday and being a North London resident my whole life I don't know how I have missed it and tried a salad box with a few different mezes. All I can say is OMG AMAZING. Everything was fresh the Dolmathes were special and I will be back very soon to get more.
