Customer service doesn't meet expectations. Below what I expect of myself in the same role. Staff need basic training on how to interact with and assist customers.
I’m posting this review in the hope that a manager sees, and hopefully makes the shopping experience here more pleasant for other people. I have visited this place 5 times over the past 3 weeks new to the area, it seems that every member of staff that I have encountered each time I have visited has had the worst customer service I think I have experienced, to the extent of actually being pretty rude. This is supposed to be a convenience store, not an inconvenience store. I don’t usually post reviews, but it just frustrates me when people in a customer service role make you feel unwelcome.
Visited on afternoon of 26th July. The girl serving was delightful. She was smiley and helpful and both me and my husband said how refreshing it was to be served with a friendly smile.
This was a pleasant, friendly shopping experience but things have gone downhill recently. Staff are po-faced, unfriendly and in some cases downright rude. I've tried to converse and have a laugh but the vacant look coming back suggests they are more interested in listening to the chat on their headphones or is it music? Anyway, there's not a lot of choice around here so I suppose we have to put up with it. I do wish that the staff would realise that we like to pay and get away fairly promptly. Had to wait a good 10 minutes this morning. I think the manager's away this week which may account for some of it.
Just a good 'local' store that cares about the community. Reasonable prices. Very good membership scheme.
