Update Sept 2019:nWe came back to Berto's this year after thoroughly enjoying the food last year. Everything is the same as the last review. Food absolutely delicious!nnOriginal Sept 2018:nWe found this amazing place on our first night. We walked in with no reservation and got a table eventhough they were very busy. Service was personal and friendly. Food arrived very quick! It smelled lovely and tasted phenomenal. Never had Italian food better than here! We loved it so much we booked there and then for a few days later. Second visit didn't disappoint either. Will definitely return when in the area again!
Excellent local Italian, super food, attentive, friendly and prompt but not rushed service. Pasta was perfectly cooked, slightly al dente and the arriabiata sauce was nicely fiery without overpowering the tomato and garlic. The pizza had a good thin, crispy base with plenty of quality toppings and cheese and was good value.nDrinks were very reasonable and desert was delicious. Overall the bill was excellent value, the ambience was relaxed and friendly.nBooking a table is a good idea as it looks like a busy and well supported place.

The ice cream I had a funny aftertaste like if it had something in it to keep the ice cream smooth.nnTable was quite sticky but not a big dealnnIt was very warm upstairs and very busy and was being bumped from behind by people walking past.nnI feel they should remove a couple of tables to create more space upstairs.nnApart from that I woul recommend to anyone just go earlier in the weeknnWednesday they are CLOSEDnnTHANK YOU BERTO FOR EVERYTHING
Lovely little Italian restaurant where the food is amazing and the staff are friendly. A must visit place. Highly recommend.
