This is a fantastic looking venue, with great sound quality, but there's a few things that let it down. If you have mobility issues, be aware that there isn't an accessible entrance like there is at the Hydro. Be prepared to queue with everyone else. You might be spotted by a steward and guided to the front, but it's not guaranteed. Once inside, there's no seating area prior to taking your seat if you're in the stalls, and you have to queue again whilst waiting for the auditorium doors to open. I can't stand for long periods and found this extremely uncomfortable. You will battle against the queue if you want to use the toilets, too. Speaking of which, be prepared to cross your legs while waiting! One toilet on the ground floor, which is tiny, for the size of the venue. Food wise, forget it unless you want to pay over the odds for a bag of sweets. Drinks are expensive, as you would expect. The two vending machines were both out of order. Parking is a complete rip-off. £12 flat fee for gigs at night. I do like the venue for shows, but these things definitely let it down, big time.
The queue controlling wasn't great, people scanning tickets could have been much better organised -for example have lanes. Instead, it was a bit of a free-for-all, allowing people to push in line which we formed. It's not easy to find where you're supposed to head towards, but once you find a staff member at the event hall it was fine. Apart from that it was ok. Staff at the event hall were really helpful and lovely.
First time at the Armadillo and very impressed. Parking is nearby in the multi story, could be a bit more reasonably priced but getaway was slick in comparison to some of the nightmares I've had getting away from the SEC car park in previous years. Seating and acoustics were fab. Toilets not brilliant but not awful either. Lack of snacks, or so it seemed but the show was amazing which more than made up for any downsides. Would 100% drive the 3 hrs each way it took to get there, really great venue
Great venue - convenient for train, great view of stage, comfy seats, good leg room. Only place I've ever been where the men's bathroom had a bigger queue than the women's. Bar service was very slow and crowded including having to join a secondary queue for beer after ordering it. Really needs to be more efficient.
Great place to see a show. Head for the upstairs var to avoid ques. Comfy seats and a golf view from all the seats. The upstairs is roasting hot though
First time ever going to the armadillo, quick entry, staff where helpful, though they could direct more people to the other bar areas to ease the main bar, would have been good to have toilets for both male/female on each side, seats in the auditorium were really comfy, place could do with some screens on either side, people on the top deck would only see a spec of the person on stage, went to see the comedian Matt Rife, was a great night and certainly will do again, final bit to add, they need to review the numbers and letters as very hard to read with the lighting, everyone was having an issue with it, this should be an easy fix, better lighting on the letters and the seat numbers in black, simple fix really !!
Amazing day at the armadillo. We all loved the Bluey live show. The staff...all of them, we're knowledgeable, happy friendly people who had a fun day along with the audience. Cannot stress how much this made to our experience of the event. We'd all come back to another event safe in the knowledge that it will be stress-free and enjoyable. Do yourself a favour and visit this place.
Visited for the Titanic exhibition. Typical exhibition centre with various halls and meeting rooms. Was clean and tidy and had a convenience store inside which is useful. Getting there by public transport was a easy as we imagined and ended up hailing a taxi.
Nice place with good seats I was there for Sonu Nigam concert. Biggest issue is the sound Too loud like someone was screaming in my ears. Needs a better sound system. Ppl should check the sound at the back Just increasing volume without adjusting base is not right. Also instead of making ppl wait in line outside please getvthem in and ask them to use ur restaurant
Architecturally and technically beautiful. Location is great, near the river and important train as well as bus stops.
