I had an excellent 1-2-1 session with Cassandra today at the Stitchery. I was give a sewing machine a few years ago but didn't really know how to operate it. I've not sewn since I was a teenager now 50 and was determined to learn even some basis techniques to make use of it. The 2 hour session today covered all the basics of how to operate and maintain my machine- and an introduction to the basics of stitching. I've booked in for another 2 hours in a few weeks time - in the meantime I will be having a go myself. The environment of the Studio was lovely and calming- a great place to learn. Everything was at the right pace- and the two hours flew in.
An excellent one to one session with Cassandra, focusing on free motion embroidery. She was really helpful prior to the session, checking what I would like to focus on, and gave a number of very helpful pieces of guidance both practical and creative during the session which I will be able to put to use straight away. A very useful and enjoyable experience.
I took my granddaughter to The Stitchery when she was eight years old and she really enjoyed the experience. Very professional. Tried to book Feb course but fully booked. Will await next session. N McIntyre.
After not having felt that I had the first experience that I wanted. I was moved to have an email from the owner, setting things straight. This was appreciated and reflected in my updated review.
Great one to one classes. Tutor is really friendly and very talented. I learned a lot and in a really lovely environment. I highly recommend.
