Read the small print. They take a double payment end first month. After I paid big deposit to chill. So easy to get caught out, if your trying to spread the payments. €15 charge if you miss a payment, plus another €10 from bank. Though the payments would be spread over 9 months. Nearly half the premium paid , only one month in. Two will come out in the same month, later in the schedule. Will paid in lump sum next time.
Pathetic customer service...waiting for welcome pack for my car insurance, nearly 3 months now.
Absolute nightmare to deal with...worst in 40 years......Took out two car policy's with Chill Insurance paying by instalments with Close Brothers. Have been bombarded with repeat emails requesting the same upload of information. Had five at this stage despite they already acknowledge having it. Customer service non existent.......all working from home I'd imagine. leave you hanging on the phone and then cut you off.......Avoid
Dealt with them multiple times. Each worse than the last. Most recent case was to do with direct debits on insurance. I sent two DD mandates. Two. They managed to set the payments up to the wrong bank account. This took three pretty lengthy phone calls to fully resolve. But as a gesture of "good will" they waived a €15 fee that originally stemmed from their mistake. How nice of them. A level of incompetence so high it is almost impressive.
A very bad company my home insurance is 24.60 a month close brothers took one hundred and forty eight out 148 off my account only for i checked my bank statement I would have never known. It tuck three weeks to final get my money back .but if i own them money they woundent be long charging interest how many more people have this happened to and never even ring back with an apology
Great company, by the 1star reviewer I would say it was their own fault, never had a problem with them and even sound when a few days late with payments
IV been dealing with close brothers for 3 years and this is my 4 the year , IV never had any problems easy to deal with and would recommend them to anyone else.
I've used these guys for 3 years. There's never a problem. They are polite, punctual and I wouldn't go elsewhere
Dealing with them a few years now,never had any trouble and they always seem nice on the phone.
Great company to be insured with. Never a problem dealing with any of thier staff, so friendly and helpful.
