On being served I asked for a size and similar in a shoe and as the staff member walked past two able bodied women, one started discussing a shoe and her debate re buying them…at the time the staff member had my shoe in hand…then the customer asked for her to hold her shoe in order for her to take a photo of the label…she could have done this herself or her friend helped…while people are self absorbed, the assistant should have explained long before this point she was busy, but she didn’t…after watching this play out I left not spending..:lesson to learn hear prioritise!!!! Have staff no idea here
I found the staff ignorant. They ignored me when I walked in the shop. When I asked if they sold Gabor mens shoes they didn't know and had to look on computer. They didn't sell them. Awful service.
In the past, I have had some truly awful customer service experiences in this branch. However, this week I was served by Debbie, and things were different. She gave unfussy, good service. Obtaining me some sandals from another branch. Couldn’t ask for more. More Debbies required here.

Sale on and plenty of choice in the sizes. Found a few boots we liked and purchased a pair. Helpful, friendly staff. Nice store.
My daughter and I came into Charles Clinkard today looking for boots. Unfortunately the lady who attended to us was very unhelpful and incredibly unfriendly. My daughter tried a few on but got absolutely no help or encouragement from this sales assistant. She just stood there unsmiling waiting for us to finish. I was so surprised as my mother has used this shop for years and has never been treated the way we were today. Sadly none of us will return which is such a shame as it’s a lovely shop.
