Story

We are an independent company of coffee enthusiasts, roasting espresso blends and a range of single origin beans. We supply our small flagship café on Hackney’s Broadway Market, our own stall on market day, as well as a growing list of establishments who have chosen to work with us. Established in 2005, our cafe is considered one of the pioneering venues for London’s now-famous coffee revolution.

Mission

It can be dirty work at the coalface of the roaster, but thanks to almost a decade of experience, genuine love for our industry and dedication to our craft, we can manage as many natural variables as possible to provide our customers with high quality coffee. This same dedication is applied to our “cupping” process, with our team tasting our coffee as often as possible. It keeps our palates developing and our people inspired.

Climpson and Sons is a small coffee shop with selling some high quality coffee and pastries. I had their filter brew batch of the day, which was from Colombia and had a nutty flavor. Note there are no chair to sit on, it’s more of a grab and go place. Staff was also friendly.
Really excellent coffee served by at a great little bakery spot. Takeaway service is quick and great everytime. The 8.4 flat white was smooth and flavoursome.Service: 4/5
Have been going there for years, but staff were rude and unhelpful. I went in and asked for a selection pack of 4 different blends for a cafetiere. I realised that they had sold me the more expensive option and hadn't ground it. I live quite far away and took it back the next day. The staff were equally rude when I asked again to grind the coffee. No apology or anything about the fact that I had to return. Actually, they seemed very pretentious and annoyed that they had to do it. Shame as I used to love this place

After multiples visits, I can say with confidence the coffee simply isn't very good - especially if you're looking for espresso drinks. I'd opt for elsewhere given the price and attitude.
Great daily coffee, delicious, tasty and rich and perfectly priced at the same time. Staff are friendly and welcoming. What a fantastic establishment. Cafes that are charging £3.90 for a cappuccino - take notes.Food: 5/5
Superb coffee selection with a deeply knowledgeable staff. The bright decor convinced us to stay for brunch and we were not disappointed.
Great coffee shop very trendy and pleasant staff. Great location with quint seating out front that sits directly on Broadway market. Lovely atmosphere. It can get very busy and packed so sometimes you won't always get a seat.
the greatest quality of coffee. don't use proper cups on weekends. you should take your own cup on weekend days if you care about environment
These guys sell my favourite coffee in London The Baron. Obsessed is an understatement.
