Bloody awful place. We were in a house next door but one to the main building. It felt like a half way house and smelt like one too. Half drunk bottle of water left in room, thick with dust on top of wardrobe we stored our bag ontop , no heating or extra blankets so shivered and froze all night, no hot water to the sink, no wifi codes given to us and breakfast was a challenge as clear instructions to find the kitchen this is where you get your breakfast from wasn’t given . The kitchen had other guests trying to get their breakfast sorted so we gave up and left.nWill never go back.
We initially had a booking elsewhere but found it was not at all suitable. We popped in to the pub attached to the clee hotel for a drink and to gather our bearings and thankfully found out it was a hotel aswell as a pub. With absolutely no notice the lovely staff/owner provided us with a perfect self contained flat for 6 of us at a fantastic price. We would highly recommend due to the great service, nice facilities and clean spacious flat.
Rooms clean .but basic..cracked window in bedroom. Loose toilet base.. continental breakfast was terrible. Brown bread was moldy ..croissants were 2wks out of date ..crumpets were cheep aldi ones that were like rubber ..one bite and left it .. mince pies are not usually part of a continental breakfast ..wouldn't eat anything else from the display..wasn't told it was a continental breakfast when we booked ..just said breakfast included..told the lady about the mouldy bread .never brought us anymore out..wouldn't stop again..Shame the breakfast was so poor
TV in room not working, my Wife found a slug on wetroom floor in middle of the night. Although time of continental breakfast confirmed the night before, no breakfast was available next morning as buffet room locked and no staff available in hotel. Therefore we paid for breakfast as part of room package which they didn't provide. We've stayed here previously but after this experience never again.
Lovely pub with a unique selection of beers not seen elsewhere in the area 1664 Blanc, Camden Stout to name two.nnOutdoor area, friendly staff, nicely decorated. Truly a Hidden Gem.
