Beautiful elaborate plasterwork interiors, Florence Nightingale memorabilia and some interesting musical instruments. I've always loved this house, but today was the first time I saw the garden (not NT - separate fee)

Really disappointed with our visit today, when we arrived we were told that they didn't have enough staff to open the upstairs rooms. I think we missed out seeing the best parts of the house! Gardens were lovely to walk around, shame we missed everything in bloom

Lovely place. Really enjoyed the visit. Not prepared to pay out an extra £5 to see the gardens though.

A great place especially for picnics on a sunny day, out of the way compared to other National Trust Properties but this is good as it keeps the crowds down.
