We waited longer than expected for our carpet to be fitted but today was the day and two lovely young men arrived at just after 9 James and john I think how lovely and jolly they were and within just over 2 hours our carpet in lounge stairs and landing was done
Couldn't believe how fast and efficient they were. Looks amazing one happy lady and thank you so much guys for a superb job. Teresa and bob would thoroughly recommend

Read the small print...
We bought a carpet for our spare room recently. Everything went smoothly in store.
Then the fitter arrived. He said they’d have to charge extra to remove the old carpet. I agreed. They fitted the new carpet and left. Later I realised they’d left the old carpet in rubbish bags in our front garden. When I phoned them about this, they said there'd be another extra charge to take it away and anyway they couldn’t do it today.
Apparently there are boxes on the order form to tick for both uplift and removal. I didn’t fill in the form – their salesperson did, and he said nothing to us about these “extras” at the time. And I clearly should have checked the form, but seriously, who does read all the fine print?
I’m really happy with the carpet, but really unhappy with the service they’ve provided. If you must use them, my advice is that you read the small print and check everything carefully because you can’t rely on them to explain.

I’ve used Clarke’s for nigh on 20 years for a dozen renovations. They offer Interest free credit with a personal service, best prices what more do you want. Always would recommend them.

DISGUSTING SERVICE. Went in and ordered a door bar. Not only did they charge us £40 for the door bar which is excessive but our choice but we were charged £9.50 for delivery because Clarke's don't carry stock. This is a bit of a cheek as I'm not ordering from a website - if stock isn't carried in M&S they don't charge for the inconvenience of me not being able to collect it there and then. Anyway we decided to go ahead because they said they'd get it delivered to us. 1 week later we called up as we'd heard nothing. 'Oh sorry it's just come into stock today' she then looks at the diary and after trying to get me to go in and pick it up (Who that can afford to waste £50 for a door bar has time to go down a 2nd time?) then says she'll get it delivered 3 days later. That's 10 days after we ordered it. It came. In the original packaging from supplier. Next day delivery. Brilliant. Thanks for your total lack of service Clarke's. I won't be buying my carpets from you when Reno complete.

Happy to sell me the carpet. Estimater efficient and friendly. Not so fitting service. I explained when booking that I needed carpets fitted whilst my husband was at day centre. He has dementia and is also physically disabled and would not be able to cope with the fitters being there. This was agreed and I was told the fitters would be with me by 9.30am approx. At 10.30 I rang shop because they had not arrived and was told they would be with me by 11. They eventually turned up at 11.30 and said I was their second call. They were very off hand and customer service was obviously not high on their list of priorities. Complete disregard for my situation. The company is obviously not disabled friendly and I will not be using them again.
