We pre booked and pre paid for a taxi 3 days prior to our event. 8pm from the location in Mansfield. At 8pm the venue closed and we had to stand outside. We had elderly relatives with us and it was raining and cold so we called Veezu to check where our taxi was. The gentleman on the phone informed me he would now send a taxi to pick us up from Sheffield. I was a little confused as we had pre booked and pre paid for it to collect us at 8pm. He explained that it was Saturday night and close to midnight so it was busy. I asked to speak to a manager as it wasn’t close to midnight and we had pre paid and pre booked. The manager wasn’t much more helpful. She did apologise but explained that it’s not guaranteed when you pre book and pre pay. I advised her that it would be worth explaining this to customers so they weren’t under any illusions. I asked if there would be any discount for the inconvenience of having to wait outside in the rain for 40 minutes. She explained that there would be not. I think this service is unreliable and very distrustful. They are lying to customers and it is highly unfair.
Awful service. Always late. Even when rebook hours before via the app. Cars get allocated then the driver just rejects the trip and you’re back at the queue waiting for another driver to accept. Taxis are late by 30-40 minutes. No point having an app and tracking if they just random when they turn up. Never use.
Don't bother calling and booking a taxi, hours or even days in advance. They still can't get it to you on time. You'll always be last place, behind all the 'as and when' calls. What's the point of booking a taxi for a specific time, if they're just gonna assign all their drivers out to other calls. Making you wait and extra 30 minutes to an hour. The point of booking is so you get the taxi at the time you need it. Not when they feel like it.
Amazing, was walking in the snow with our son tonight as we was on our way back home at 2 o'clock in the morning from out of hours doctor's. And one of the drivers and a customer saw us and stopped and they took us 3 quarters of the way home. Amazing and thank you so much to the driver and customer
Don't ever pre book, booked a taxi for a hospital appointment. Even though I'd booked to give me time, over 20 minutes late. Absolutely disgusting. They started looking for a driver at the time they were supposed to be pick me up. What is the point of pre booking ?
Don’t bother, pre booked a taxi as we needed to be at a venue for a specific time. Phoned when it was late to be told it’s in our hands, we can cancel if we like, couldn’t tell us how long the taxi would be. Dont see the point in pre booking if they have no idea when it will actually arrive
The worst taxi company I have ever dealt with. I've booked three taxis through the app in the past few months, and none of them have turned up. I've had to make other arrangements each time. Do not use.
Pre booked a taxi to the station. Didn’t turn up. When ringing to find out where my taxi was they said still trying to locate a driver. I said i had pre booked but apparently they tell me they don’t book a driver until your time and no driver available. No empathy towards missing our train and what this has cost us. Totally unreliable
If I could rate 0 stars I would! Totally unreliable - pre booked a taxi to got out for a meal, when it was late I rang and was told no your taxi isn't on its way don't know when we will have a driver. When explaining I have a table booked he said we have it down your going into town! I said yes for a meal that I expressed when I booked. Don't waste your time using this unreliable firm.NEVER AGAIN!!
Got a veezu taxi with my 7 year old sister and nanan. The driver over charged us as he went the wrong way. He was sat texting on his phone and we nearly crashed into the back of a van.
