Horrible company model. Minimum top up amounts, really difficult to get refunds, and any outstanding balance after you leave uni halls? Forget about it! Lost a card? Forget about your balance, whether it be £5, £10, or £50. It's okay, just top up your new one Not to mention out of the 4-10 machines had a range of available machines in the 3 accommodations I stayed at using Circuit, at least 30% will be out of order for one reason or another. OH! Not to mention each accommodation might be using DIFFERENT MACHINE MODELS so you will need to call representatives to transfer your old cards balance to the new one, which takes at least 3-5 working days because you have to mail in your old card e.g. one uses contactless, another has a chip card, or another just has a phone app. This company simply exists because they are a monopoly, they really need a competitor to kick them in the teeth ...
Horrible company . The machines breakdown every other month - causing people a whole lot of inconvenience. I am now stuck with 2 out of order machines where I don’t even know if my clothes are washed so I have to repeat that cycle twice & risk over washing my clothes and because this would now take more than an additional hour, I either have to miss my lessons or have my wet clothes stowed somewhere in my room dripping. The massive inconvenience is hardly address by a refund of the cycle. Absolutely poor Edit: they also hang up the phone while talking to you midway
Said it was 24h got there the place was closed and I had already put £20 on the app.... now i want a refund they are going to take £3 and give me £17 back it's been 3 weeks and still no reply or refund and what I've been told about the place no one should be using there service
Where to begin with Circuit? Terrible company. I've had a top get a nice hole in it which doesn't seem like much but it's an expensive top and it could get worse now from the washer and had to put my stuff through the dryer again because it's nowhere near dry. Their phone line says they can't take complaints until the day after, seems arbitrary but okay so I said I'd like to report that the machines aren't working properly. She says "just the dryer". Yeah because of course, putting holes in clothes is what washing machines should do. Their solution was for me to send the top to them for inspection. How can they expect them to trust them with it when they're a laundry company that can't even dry clothes. I was "given a refund" for my drying not working in the form of circuit credit. When I went to top up the machine didn't work and of course the phoneline isn't able to help for arbitary reasons. They have also told me that the washing machine was faulty but won't give me an engineers report to claim on insurance. They are able to get away with this downright terrible service as they don't actually have to deal with their consumers and instead deal with the universities who make it so students have no choice other than to use this terrible service.
This service has no redeemable qualities whatsoever. It is vastly overpriced, holding students to ransom, and does not even reliably wash clothes. Machines are regularly broken, and are ludicrously difficult to pay for i.e. you have to pay using a convoluted "special card" and it is a pain to add money to it, when you could literally just have coin/note slots or a contactless card payment thing. There is no reason for me to be writing this review since, chances are if you're using this service, you have no other choice! An excellent scam.
