We had a table booked for 10. Service was excellent, food was A1. First visit for me and I'll definitely go back.nnAlthough it's a big place there are lots of different rooms so gives a cosy feel.nnWe had a birthday cake and they were kind enough to supply plates and a knife for it.nnThank you so much!
After seeing the score, we thought we'd try the Tall Chimney for our afternoon meal before heading home.nnThe staff were really friendly, but there were some disappointments.nnLooking at the drinks menu, there is a huge selection. However when you get to the bar, a lot of the drinks we requested weren't available.nnThe roast was good, but the carrots were rock solid.nnThe dessert was the worst part. We ordered the berry and apple crumble and the first photo is what arrived. However, and fair play to the server, they went back and fixed it to a much higher standard. However it was disappointing it came out like that at all.nnPerhaps we came on a bad day, but not sure if we'll be in a rush to visit again.
Food was super cheap, but pretty standard. We had breakfast and it was just OK. I had a breakfast burrito which I would order again, but my partner got the eggs and waffles and they were a lot smaller then it looked in the picture and they forgot the extra bacon he had ordered. I would go there again as it was pretty standard and cheap, so it did the job!
Great food great atmosphere but service not the best had to ask and ask for dessert only icecream and choc bits had to wait then came out with one wrong ran out of glasses could understand if busy but you were not come on 45 mins for dessert then they were like slop
Father's day breakfast, quite nice, not crowded. The app for ordering didn't have tea for some reason but ordered at table, no problem. Happy with the food and price, everything seemed clean and service was good once we'd sat down. Standard full English breakfast is nice to start the day with, mushrooms are dry though. Mega breakfast is really huge, more a breakfast for two. The all day breakfast is still more than enough for one but works as a brunch.
