How can you get fish and chips so wrong? So upset, not eaten all day. Spend £14 on fish and chips and it was nothing short of repulsive. Chewy, old, reheated chips? Some weren't even cooked. Sausage.... Well, erm.... One bite was all I needed to ascertain the edible appeal. The fish was at least fresh and cooked. Other than that, blindfolded, I could have only assume I was eating cooking oil. Avoid like the plague... Or chew your own leg off. It'll be far more palatable.
Chuckles Chippy Friendly enough staff and quick, too quick in fact. Chips undercooked, as I suspect was my quarter pounder, which was full of grease - I couldn't finish it which is very unlike me. The fish was a little greasy, but nice enough my family reports. Not expensive, but by no means cheap. Also, tried to order online for delivery, but the website wasn't working.
Should of known eating here would be a big mistake today from the start, my partner went in first to ask if they accept card payment and clearly the two men working behind till didn't know as one said yes and the other said no, after getting out cash we returned as well as our family. There was many staff members just sat around like sacks of spuds which one had left their cigarettes and lighter out in the area visible to the customers. Staff were appalling as our family ordered a burger which the man just tossed the burger on to the grill and swore, the food was awful our chips tasted like rubber and looked as if they had been there for a while, our jumbo battered sausages were two completely different colours can you please explain why? because to me one looked seriously under cooked, they also were stone cold and really chewy to eat the batter nearly broke a tooth, Curry sauce looked unappealing and was really runny. There was an elderly man that was waiting for his order, he ordered a coke but the staff were too bone idle to go and get the gentleman his drink. Will definitely not be eating here again I do not recommend this place to anyone. I suggest to make this chip shop a success you should consider hiring new staff and get rid of the chavs and also make your staff undertake a good customer service course.
Shocking. asked by grandparents to order them some fish and chips at 1900, when ordered just after was given a delivery time of 2005. delivery time came and went, called the shop to be told it was "going out the door" , had to call back to be told they didn't know what was going on and they would contact the driver. food finally arrived at 2110 , cold. greasy. completely unacceptable. We had to heat the food ourselves and pat the chips down with a tea towel just to remove some of the grease. A real shame as have ordered before with no problem. We shan't be ordering again!
Chuckles Chippy catered our wedding from their van and were fantastic from start to finish. Very professional and very high quality food, very friendly and helpful throughout the whole experience. They really helped contribute to our fantastic day. Thank you to everybody at Chuckles.
Disgusting crusty over cooked fish and chips. Shocking customer service refused refund as they insisted food was quality. Shame I can't scare you off with a picture of the horror that is chuckles chippie fish n chips Avoid if you have tastebuds
Hadn't eaten all day and wanted some nice food, absolutely shocking and disgusting food. Literally grease ridden and cold. If you are looking for decent quality fish and chips here IS NOT the place. Literally chucking money in the bin.
Didn't fulfill my order correctly or contact to say they couldn't. Ordered a chicken sandwich, what I got was a dry piece of chicken in a stale bun, no salad no sauce, called for a refund and was told the manager was too busy to speak to me and would call tomorrow. Wouldn't advise this take away.
Was always a nice chippy but has gone downhill recently Chips were re heated and horrible on two occasions My pie was hard with the pastry Customer service awful at times Whenever I pass by they are always quiet as live locally By looking at some of the reviews on here they won't be around much longer Now use another chip shop and so much better
Lovely place, staff are very friendly. Had a large cod and chips they were hot and chips cooked to perfection! Would recommend to everyone!
