Undoubtedly THE best eaterie on the south-side and an absolute bargain. I've been here several rimes now, sometimes on my own and twice with large parties one with 15 people. Each time I have been very gratified by the very friendly and attentive service. Other restaurants should take lessons from the waiting staff!!! Service aside, the real reason I keep coming back is that I love food. I love good food. It is very hard to get places where the chef is as good as the guy here. Every dish is stunningly good. Even the soup is just wow. Most places provide soup that is what you would get with a half decent recipe book and a blender at home. This place must have Harry Potter in the kitchen as the last soup I had here was just magic. Hell, I'm going to phone them and book in for tonight. Nice surprise for the family.
Really lovely little place with tasty food. I like the menu with a wide range of options including some healthier but substantial salads. The decor is basic but pleasant and the staff are always helpful. I prefer sitting in the window or even outside when it's nice weather. The cakes are lovely don't think they're homemade though and they have a nice selection of hot drinks.
Fantastic, this is one of our favourite cafes in Glasgow. In fact we choose this place over several cafes closer to home. The range of fresh food and delicious cakes is superb and the staff are friendly and efficient. Nothing seems to be too much bother including rearranging chairs and tables to fit our rather cumbersome buggy in. Child friendly and highly recommended!
Great breakfast, good dinners, fab prices. Everything is always beautifully presented. They served yogurt and granola in a wine glass which looked beautiful and serve their lattes in the most gorgeous glass cups. Will definitely be back!
Great cafe with excellent coffee, cakes and food. The brunch menu is fantastic. They use local ingredients and make everything in house, including their own smoked salmon which is tip top.
I'm a regular breakfast out person and have sampled lots of places in Shawlands and Pollokshields. I had scrambled eggs on toast with bacon here this morning and have to say it was really delicious. Moist eggs, fresh, crusty, toasted bread and particularly​ good bacon. Very generous portion. My friend had her croissant with her own pick of ingredients, not on the menu and they were really accomodating to her requirements. Also, very reasonably priced for the area. Definitely a favourite from now on!
Have been here a few times. the eggs benedict are delicious and the cakes and coffee.The service is always good, friendly and professional. Lovely cafe for a meal or drinks and great atmosphere.
Great coffee always comes with a small piece of biscuit, cake or chocolate. Quality sandwiches that show thought. Loses one star as any non-veg place will when rated by this veggie simply as choice is more restricted
Very friendly coffee shop with great home baking. Friendly helpful staff who help create a relaxed atmosphere. Excellent menu for evening meals.
We couldn't even get in to the place despite it being well after opening time. Staff basically told us that they are running late and that we should come back later - or go to another place - rather than apologising and offering us a seat while they got themselves ready for aervice! This at 9:15am on a Saturday and with 4 people with me waiting outside. Staff's attitude needs to improve massively before anything else. This certainly isn't any way to run a business. This place deserves 0 stars if an option was available!
