A great Indian restaurant for fine dining. The food is authentic Indian. Great place to eat if you are sick of eating anglicized Indian food. The ambience is soothing and the staff are very courteous. Specially the manager, Mr. Jha is a great person and host. They have a huge collection of drinks and good cocktails as well. The only drawback I found was that they cannot customize the food according to your taste. But it's totally understandable. Overall a great restaurant to visit with family and friends. Though it's a bit expensive but totally worth the price. Highly recommended. Vegetarian options: They have many vegetarian options Kid-friendliness: They are very kid friendly Parking: Yes Wheelchair accessibility: Yes Dietary restrictions: Yes
First time visit to Choki Dhani and I was pleasantly surprised. Maybe I was too hungry, just nostalgic, or most probably the food was delicious, that I finished everything what I got and ordered myself a dessert too. Prices were steep but service was impeccable, servers were attentive. There was a service charge which was implied on the final bill but that was clearly articulated on the menu. A must try, if you’re in London and crave authentic Indian Gujarati food!
It was a Saturday night but not packed, yet service was slow and clumsy. Plenty of staff but not familiar or experienced sadly. Drinks ordering and deliver haphazard and pouring wine was painful. Booth seats to table height was just wrong so avoid them! Food was tasty but not flair, well except the chocolate sphere. Some of the meat within the sauces were overcooked and dry, so fair from perfect. It was not exceptional and did not evelate to excuse the ongoing less than stellar service. Everyone pleasant. No tea to finish as kitchen closed and no warning ahead. Lacklustre but maybe just a one off, but doubt will go back to find out ... More of a local restaurant than a destination, if service and other things were on form then I'd call it a pleasant evening, but our experience was just not at that level. Vegetarian options: Have a good selection of dishes suitable
Visited this place for lunch. Good ambience right from the imposing elephant at the front, carrying thru into the rest of the restaurant. Service was very warm and welcoming. In fact I was very pleasantly happy as the waiters including the manager make you feel welcome and have no airs unlike some high end restaurants. Ordered some cocktails as they have a decent selection of unusual cocktails. We tried the Spice Jungle, Jaipur Fizz, White Elephant and Wild Storm. All really good, and would recommend them. While we waited for the mains, the unique feature of this restaurant came to the fore. They had a collection of traditional Indian articles and jewellery which not only made for a nice display, but you could also buy them. This definitely got our table and some of the other customers excited and engaged. A truly fantastic concept, often popular with Rajasthani themed restaurant villages in India. Choice of mains was made simple as they have a thali, an assortment of veg dishes - the Maharani thali or and assortment with meat dishes included - the Maharaja thali. Both were excellent. The staff very attentive, asking if we needed any second helpings for any of the dishes in the thali. The Lal Maas was the best, as was the Dal bati. We also ordered a lamb biryani which was very yummy, but made in a Rajasthani style. I would have preferred a different sweet dish in the thali though. The manager was very courteous and took the time to come to the table to chat with us about the restaurant and it's concept, giving us an honestly refreshing perspective. I truly admire his dedication to his job and customers Overall a great time, with decent food, good cocktails and superior ambience, concept and service.
I was expecting a lot more of Rajasthani taste from Chokhi Dhani which was bit less in the food. The restaurant has a great ambience, place and the view. I really liked the items in Maharaja Thali but if they could increase the quantity of Bati in the Thali would be great as single Bati is not enough to finish all the food in the plate. I believe the spices were kept less as it is hard for everyone to eat spicy food, but overall I had a great experience with them. Hope to visit them soon and enjoy more Baatis.
We are glad we spotted this place as we were walking by... We ordered biryani, the Maharaja thali it was awesome ...the ambiance, the service, the food, the staff, the interiors is simply awesome and I can go on ... The staff by name Aliston was very nice, helpful and he was the one who suggested us to try few dishes like prawn balchao, the sweet dish ... also explained us the Rajasthani authentic dishes ... The golden jungle is a must try cocktail ...I bet you won't regret it ... A place you can be with your friends, family. Do visit this place
This restaurant is very good if you like Gujrati and rajsthani food. Different from the other Indian restaurants where they try to cater Indian food to the British taste and create rubbish in the process.
We had our anniversary dinner table booked for 2. We enjoyed our meal, the food was well done. Great customer service. Food on time. We were also fasting for ramadan and we mentioned our time arrival of food. They looked after us well. Nice and cosy place. Pure rajistani indian food taste. We had 2 starters, 2 mains, 2 naan breads, 2 cup of tea and two mocktails. We bough to brass glasses. Overall cost of everything with service charge was £105/- I think ! Parking is easy just watch vidoes before going. Great atmosphere and ambiance
Quite impressive. Great design for both exterior and interior. Cultural inspired cocktails are a blast. Food are well plated and staffs are attentive. Very tasty biryani, too good that I forgot to take photos of it.
One of the few places in London serving authentic Indian regional taste with great ambiance. I like the plating specially which will increase your hunger. Little bit costly but worth visiting atleast once during your London stay. Vegetarian options: Authentic Indian rajasthani taste. Little bit expensive but serving authentic Indian taste in London can justify it Wheelchair accessibility: I was carrying a buggy with me and there is a back entrance which is buggy friendly to give entrance to the buggy to the main dining area.
