You need a library card to get in and to use computers. The library is very nice with good seletion of books and the stuff is friendly. The library is just across of a shopping center.
Wow! That is a lot of quietness to enjoy... the Library which is said is opened 1991 is a modern self service one with membership card entrance... there are days you can find staff to be helpful with your queries.nLovely setting and gorgeous open space library...the roof/ceiling is fantastic... the wood gives you a freedom feeling...full of warmth! Love Barnet's character!
Superb Library, Went to do work experience there a week ago. Exceptional staff. An appealing upstairs area. A load of books that are suitable for all needs. Recommend doing work experience at the library. The library has a range of computers to work at, although you only get 90 minutes or so. It's a great place to do revision as well! The kids area is very engaging lots of books to get for your children as well!
Whilst at the library on Sunday I overheard a conversation between a member of staff and a customer. The customer went over to the lady working asking her to change the ink for the printer to which the lady replied “no I cant and you can’t come over and talk to me that way”. Very rude from the member of staff and unnecessary. I have never heard a staff member be so rude. I needed to print my own work out but after that I just left as there was no point if the ink wasn’t going to be changed.
Amazing space, but in the afternoon is very loud people teenagers do not respect the quietness of a library. Impossible to work appropriately. The staff should be more aware of this.nnI love the opening hours as it allows me do to my work from morning till late if needed.
