Fantastic and delicious. Ordered: Beef vermicelli stir fried Chicken noodles Chicken side in oyster sauce Taste: Perfectly cooked. Amazing taste. All spices good. Fresh vegetables and more meat than one can even expect. Check the pics. Beef and chicken were good cooked as expected. Quantity: The amount is well enough to feed 2 for one dish. We were four adults for the order placed and we were full. Atmosphere: Firstly noticeable the table hot pot arangement. The ambiance was good. Service: Was quick enough and welcomed nicely. Overall: A very good Chinese restaurant where very good food is available in an optimum pocket pinch.
Really : loved the food in there. We had a set of food to try as much as we could. I have been always fussy about food but really liked trying these dishes. The floor set in the restaurant is very vibrant, plenty space. You could get a table with hot pot, big table available too. I would definitely recommend to anyone living or visiting the city of Liverpool
Under the new management, the food is bland and the portions got smaller. Even no need to mention the quality of services. If you prefer drinking the weak Chinese tea in the restaurant, be prepared to pay £2.5 per person FYI, the menu only says £2.5 per pot. Avoid at all costs.Food: 1/5
Always one of my favourite chinese restaurant in liverpool. I would call this a hidden gem. The food is very authentic, the spicy fish is one of the best i can try in the UK and it is around £14 only with such big portion. is also full of wok hay . Price is very decent and they open late. Definitely would recommend. 3 people, 3 dishes, 3 rice, 2 drinks is only £48. They also serve hot pot which a lot of people will recommend too.
Quick and courteous table service. Authentic Sichuan cuisines. The restaurant is kept clean at all times. One of the best in the country. Addendum: post COVID lockdown, the restaurant may have changed ownership. Gone are the friendly waiters and the food is too salty.
Food was great! Though some of the details in the menu can be a bit misleading. I had the Fried Beef Casserole which I didn't know came with noodles and I ordered rice. Other than that, Gong Bao Chicken and Banana fritz were good too!
Received our order which was not pleasant & we would not order a takeaway again Sui mai's were of mashed sausage texture the filling for a well known restaurant unacceptable Spring rolls were full of long sliced onion? I have never had this in spring rolls before Crispy chilli beef very light brown hardly much flavour. All 3 items I have ordered in this restaurant before & was lovely
Mr Chilli is the place to go if you want to try authentic Szechuan food. The food tastes homemade, it's affordable and the portions are generous. Staff are friendly and service is always efficient, even though the food is always fresh. The only thing I would recommend is to give the English menu a miss- the real star here is the authentic Szechuan food. Some dishes that come recommended are the sliced lamb with cumin, hot and numbing beef and Chengdu duck.
I was turned on to Mr Chilli's "real" Chinese menu several years ago by my partner's family, who are Chinese food aficionados. Since then we always try to go here when we're in Liverpool. This place specialises in fiery, robust Sichuan cuisine which I love - I always order the Gong Bao chicken and hot and numbing beef, but they're not dishes for the faint hearted. Ideally come down with a big group, order several dishes to share, and enjoy! Kid-friendliness: Kids welcome.
The all you can eat hot pot is great! And it’s lovely to have your own pot, that you could choose the broth you like!! Price is fair and a good amount of food selections!Food: 4/5
