Overpriced for the tasteless EVERYTHING it is. Only good thing, the sauce. Duck isn't crispy it's so dry, overcooked and SO SMALL that's not 1/4 of a duck WTH. Chicken balls were UNcooked as you can see in the pictures. The rice was tasteless and dry, never had such an awful egg fried rice . Menu or staff are confused, I tried to order no 3 which is Deep fried crispy Wan Tun on their website but when I asked she didnt understand what I was saying and when I said no3 I was told that I was wrong and that it was chicken fillet. We tried to agree for at least 5minutes and in the end I said you know what I'll trust you I hope it is what it says on the menu. It was not.
I've just eaten in this halal Chinese restaurant and it's a shame that I've read the reviews that are not so so good. They don't take into account that there is no training budget or a multitude of waitresses and waiters to handle everyone's need. What day are there is a light and courteous and I think that's all you can ask at 11pm at night. The place is basic and clean and the food is exactly what is listed in the menu. I'm not a great fan of Chinese food but I am happy to eat here once in a while because it's cheap cheerful and delicious Ex graduate of International Business Studies including the hospitality management specialism.
I have been a customer for over 6 years, whilst management has changed several times. For a customer of over 6 years i am disappointed at the customer service as though each and every time i come in or call to place an order, i am treated like i am a new customer. The food has changed drastically and the quality of food isnt the same anymore, china grill had the potential to exceed expectations and reach heights it has never reached before. The price they charge for the quality of the food they serve is now beyond me.. i will no longer place another order with them. All the best for the future.
I have been a customer for almost 15 years and it's shameful to say the food has become very disappointing it's unbelievable staff have all changed Maybe more than 10 times. The food was good at this restaurant that I would come regularly from a distance of 2 hours drive just to have food hear but over the years the food has become week and has no taste. On my last visit the food was over sweet!!!!chicken sweet cone soup was like drinking sweet water, chicken noodles again didn't have no taste. When I got up to pay at the counter I become aware that most of the staff from old days had left 2 Chinese men use to work, who brought the business to the high leave. The only people I saw working there now haven't got a clue about Chinese food. The owner of this business should seriously sort the business out if he wants his old customers to return however unfortunately I would never be dinning at this restaurant again and it's a shame I was a loyal 15 year customer... if a customer like me is leaving after 15 year the food must be extremely tasteless very disappointing ...: find your self a better Chinese restaurant!!!
Overall very good.. i want to give them a positive review as that they the reason i started to write this but if they are reading this I want them to know that sometimes their noodles are not cooked consistently. I know it is hard to make food exactly the same every time but i would like them to try harder as i will continue to eat from the all the time.. as a mater of fact I just placed and order and am waiting for the food to be ready so I was killing time and decided to review them. what did I order you might say, well i ordered.. chicken wings with spring onions, Singapore egg fried noodles, beef with black bean sauce, chicken and sweet corn soup, veg egg fried rice.
Ordered food from here on a occasional night. Half of the food came and the other half never did, and when we queried it the staff member was extremely rude and not accommodating at all. When we asked for the manager the person said there is not one. I would strongly suggest that one avoids this as it’s not worth the hassle and you can easily find better quality food! Shop can be very much an average take away and doesn’t strike as a go to place for your meals.
Absolutely love the chicken sweetcorn soup and the chicken fried chow mein noodles. I would go again any time! PS: the wait for the food might be a little long, but the food taste always beats to it! I won't give it a 5 star rating because I believe it takes a lot for someone to be impressed enough to give a 5 star rating which China Grill might seem to lack a tiny bit of somewhere but I definitely wouldn't give anything below a 4. I would recommend this place to others.
Mediocre food, 20 minute late delivery with no apologies. Charged extra for delivery despite us phoning beforehand and asking if they deliver free to our area and being advised "yes for orders over £20.00." The chicken Satay was clearly reheated in the microwave and tasted like rubber. I wouldn't recommend this place at all.
Waitresses do not know what the dishes actually are, just the menu numbers. The food looked fine, but there was so much saltand curry powder in my dinner it was impossible to taste anything else. I could have been chewing on anything. .edible or not. It was impossible to tell. Won't be going back. Ever!
LOVE THAT.... Basically in Ilford I never tried China food. But when I saw that one... Its was by look nice! and stuff there very friendly and very good customer services, that people love their customers! Quick. and food is tasty.... I love it, and Im going again tomorrow to them to take away something more!
