A station in the heart of Birmingham which has a bit of character! This station is just superb, yes you can argue the platforms are a bit small but the feel is just superb. Some amazing signs all in the old design and even old fashioned toilets with signs telling you to adjust your dress! This train station retains its character from its earlier years. The staff were very helpful. When i was there I saw a steam train, the rather delightful Clun Castle which was on platform 4. A charter service i believe which you can book separately. Was quite cool to see indeed! Would totally recommend using this station if going to Birmingham, you won’t regret it! 10/10
Birmingham Moor Street Railway Station has real character it retains it's traditional heritage. It is a great Station for the centre of Birmingham and it was busy the day I was here. The compact size helps you to move through quickly even in a queue. I came back later at a quiet time to take a picture. There is a coffee shop and a newsagent which would be handy if you have time. My return train was delayed but I still managed to get a seat although the train was really pretty full.
Direct trains to Warwick, Leamington Spa, Banbury, London Marylebone. Ticket turnstiles at the entrance and a small ticket office. Has a little shop and a floral stand. It's a little station but has quite a few platforms. It's a 5/10 minute walk from or too new street which is the main station for Birmingham which has trains going to all parts of the country
Beautiful, old fashioned train station that manages to be functional too. I was really impressed with how well it's been restored and taken care of. Regular train services too.
I would just like to thank the staff and the person who handed my wallet into customer services on Saturday , faith restored. Saved me a load of hassle, thanks again
Has so much character by keeping its classic architecture and signs. More stations should ve modelled like this. Even the facilities are easier to access. Never has waiting for a train been so exciting.
Very nice looking train station much better than new street. Got some nice decor gives it a traditional feeling.
Beautifully decorated marketing street .
Nice station with easy access to all platforms. As old architecture and signage from the British Rail era, the heritage of the station and modern trains make it a nice environment. The station is normally kept to a high standard although there are some parts that need to be looked at. Staff are normally onsite dependent on the time of day. Provides access to the Bullring and Thinktank museum. Normally busy as this is the end station of the Chiltern Mainline from Marylebone.
A nice station in the middle of the city centre. Has some small shops. An indoor seating area. Less busy than New Street station. The only reason I gave it 4 stars is because there isn’t easy access car parking at this station.
