Chichester Arms
"This building at the heart of the beautiful village of Mortehoe was the vicarage for a few centuries before becoming a pub-hotel in 1820, and it has been sheltering and refreshing visitors just about every day since then. We’re delighted to continue that tradition of good food, drink and hospitality and everyone here takes a lot of pride in what we do.As well as ensuring the food that we serve tastes good it’s really important to us to know that it has been ethically and humanely produced, so since March 2012 we have only used British meat and free-range eggs so we can be sure of traceability and high standards of animal welfare. We are open all year round, and take bookings throughout the year - please call in, or phone us on 01271 870"

One of my favorite pubs over the many years I’ve been coming down to Devon. Tried a couple of different beers I hadn’t had before and both were very good. Had the food too which was very good.
Only stopped for brief drink as reward for climb up hilly coastal road north of Woolacombe. Lovely vibe befitting of its almost idyllic location in Mortehoe Recommend the effort to walk out of town to village with lovely views x
Excellent pub in the village. We have been here for dinner before and the food is lovely. Today we stopped for lunch after a walk and the sharing ploughman’s was very tasty. Good selection of food and drink.
Best pub in the village. The beer is delicious, get the Mena Dhu stout. Staff are friendly and the food is good a well. You'll have earned your pint of you walked up that hill as well
This is a good pub. It's coping well with Covid. The staff are cheerful, energetic and helpful. The beer is good and we've enjoyed the food we've had there. We recommend the fish cakes.
What a great local, friendly, welcoming pub, Excellent range of local real ales. Locally produces produce cooked to perfection. Definitely recommend for dinning or if walking call in for a beer. The home made dog biscuits are amazing so the children thought. as we do not have a dog
It was busy, just got a table, great staff, local pub, real ale, served food. In a lovely location.
We were dissappointed. Expected more. 85% ciders were flat ciders as was the soda in our spritzer. Service at the bar was poor. Maybe just a bad day but when you are paying nearly £20 for 11/2 cider, a white wine spritzer and bag of crisps you might hope for more. Upside the Saltdog Street food on Mon and Tues in car park looks v good. Sells out by 20:00!
A really lovely pub - very friendly, warm, excellent beers and the food was lovely too! Would highly recommend.
Great pub with great food and a good selection of beers. Dog friendly and was a perfect end to our walk around Morte Point.
