Very interesting set up. We enjoyed an excellent tour by a local guide which we would recommend. Good shop and cafe too. Make sure you take warm clothing and have waterproof coats and boots. Children can run and climb and dress up as roman soldiers.

Nicely laid out for kids and adults alike. Lots to look at and experience. The bathhouse is amazing. Good cup of tea and coffee,

There are extensive ruins to explore and the artifact collection is varied. It's a stellar site and a "must see" when visiting Hadrian's Wall. The baths and commander's house were especially stunning.

What a fascinating site this is. There's loads to explore with several unearthed Roman buildings and there's a good museum with lots of roman artefacts as well.
