This is a restaurant chain and if you keep that in mind and don't expect the Ritz you will be fine. The steaks are excellent as is the Sunday lunch. Staff are attentive. It is always busy which I think reflects well.

Extensive menu with 2 for 1 on all mains. For a pub chain this place is excellent and good value. Don't expect fine dining.

As usual very busy but served reasonably quickly. Again very good value for money -- good food good atmosphere friendly staff. This is what is needed -- good food at a reasonable price.

Disappointing, steak was raw, we asked for medium rare, it was inedible and had to be replaced cooked. The manager didnt seem bothered that we complained but did take money off the bill

As far as a major brewery owned pub goes, this one is pretty damn good. Huge menu (2 technically) and buy one get one free on main meals every day. Free refill soft drinks, and possibly the best pint of Marston's I've had in a long while (it is a Marston's pub so to be expected) Large restaurant area, with table service, bar service for food elsewhere.
